Topic: Talks a lot via texting, e-mail etc., but quiet in person?

That describes me very well, I can talk talk talk through texting, I actually send people paragraphs, but in person it isn't the same, I talk, but I don't talk as much as I do when I'm texting.What aspects or placements cause this? Someone who can't generally express everything in person but can through texting... Anybody else like this? ------------------

Water/earth sun, but air/fire moon, and vice versa.Sometimes air venus or mars too, with water and earth sun/moon. IP: Logged |

I vaguely recall that it was asserted some aspect as the MC was how you "appeared online." Whatever aspect it was it was what "kicked in" when say texting or on LL so that it was different than face to face.I'm undecided on that one myself. IP: Logged |

Really? I have a MC in Scorpio, you'd think I'd be more quiet on the internet and talkative in person (Libra Sun), that's not exactly the case though lolIP: Logged |

I think i came across that MC internet thing before.But i see this pattern very much in air suns with watery moons. Very common. I have my MC in libra, but i act libra in real life, so... That's no dime  IP: Logged |

Yeah, I looked into the placement as well (again, not sure if it was MC or something else) and it didn't fit me. But a lot of people said it did for them. It's true I tend to express myself differently OL than IRL but there are obvious reasons that have nothing to do with astrology (such as lack of social cues, body language, facial expressions, tone of voice, etc, as well as not having to worry about how what you say affects your everyday life, income, etc) as well as motivation (and while astrologically related there my entire chart plays into it be it online or off). Again, whatever the placement claimed to be involved wasn't true for me when I looked into it for myself. But if anyone recalls the details of it then maybe there's something useful there to share in this thread. IP: Logged |

Im like this too. I remember when I first discovered online forums and MSN I started to enjoy life because I didnt have to deal with IRL interactions which were stressful, awkward, full of anxiety, and i wanted to avoid them altogether. I have Saturn conjunct ASC which was the main reason why I thought I was so shy. Also mercury conjunct saturn and asc. Aqua sun Scorp moon and scorp MH. Any other shy ppl have similar placements? To those of you that have responded already; Do you find that you spend a lot more time online than with people?I have a friend whom, even when I am there, is busy chatting up someone on the phone. I find this very annoying!  I think its probably a Neptune/Pisces/12th house thing. I think I'd also add that harsh aspects between Saturn and Venus too(including the conjunction).

Wouldn't Mercury or the 3rd house have anything to do with this? Since like, it rules communication? And also, the ascendant, because it shows how people see you in real life.I have Virgo mercury in the 3rd house, ruled by Leo. I don't talk much on the internet, but when I do talk, it's usually about some information I find interesting or something that I'm having trouble analyzing. The way I speak on the internet too, comes off as serious and earthy. In real life, I am nothing like that. I talk a lot to people and I'm very sociable and funny. My ascendant is Gemini. Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Gemini Venus, Aries Mars and Cancer Mercury.
Mercury has only two major aspects: wide conjunction to Sun in a different sign (11 degrees) and square Vertex (5). Much more verbal when she is typing than when she is talking, and more belligerent, too. IP: Logged |
