Sounds a lot like me, too.

I've got Uranus on my IC, Sun-Venus, Mercury, and Mars in 12th, and my South Node is in my 1st right on my Ascendant, Aries Midheaven.

I have NO problem being alone. I even require it sometimes. It's how I decompress. With all those personal planets in the 12th, I'm like an energy sponge, and I really need to be alone sometimes to just chill in my own space with my thoughts and feelings and just process things. If I get that, then I feel refreshed, recharged and my energy is renewed. If I don't get it, I can get circuit overload and just feel stressed out.

South Node on Asc. puts North Node on Desc. in my 7th, so part of my spiritual growth is learning how to be less independant and to do more relating. It's hard because when people annoy me or tick me off, my first instinct is to think, "I don't need this crap." My First reaction is to just do it myself or do it alone to avoid having to deal with other people's attitude problems. Ironically, this seems to make people chase after me and hound me for my time, and it's hard to make them understand, "No. It's not personal. I just need to be alone for awhile." That NN on Desc in 7th keeps bringing lots of fated and unavoidable encounters across my path, though, which basically force me to learn to relate in a one-to-one way.
So, you really can't escape your North Node.

I'd say I'm independant, but I think it's the Saturn that makes me think I can't rely on others for happiness. Uranus just makes me selfish at times, but feels good not to conform to someone else's ideas, it does make me feel free and happy.

I'm a Libra Sun, so I enjoy doing things with others - to an extent. I'm very capable of doing things alone and I often enjoy spending time alone, especially when I feel like I've been overwhelmed by demanding people or I've been draining my energies trying to socialize often. I see movies alone and eat dinner alone when the mood strikes. I hate that some people think this is weird! I give myself my own advice. Pluto in the 12th makes me have an introverted side and I travel often because of 9H Moon-Uranus and Uranus conjunct my IC ruler.
