So, this axis usually only is mentioned in regard to synastry. I think it is a joke in the traditional descriptions when natally described.

I just read somewhere that the 4th/10th axis are considered by some to be the most powerful houses on a chart (well angular houses/planets in general) *I'll post links later

Maybe since I personally have a great 4th house signature in my chart, I pay attention to it more but I would think the 4th/10th are payed more attention to than cadent and succedent houses.

I would say that the IC 4th house is the most neglected. Everyone raves about their AC or their DSC. The MC gets a good number of honourable mentions with careers and life goals as well. Even the 5th 7th 8th 11th 12th 2nd and 3rd get a look in. 6th and 9th are a little left out.

But the poor little IC gets left all alone at the nadir of the chart. From everything I've read, the IC when you get down to it, is the core of who you are, and what makes you, you. A lot of traditional descriptions breeze over it as your home and family life. I personally haven't found that true and disagree with that. From reading the few accounts of people discussing their 4th house it seems that it is a good portion of their identity and essence, who you truly are what you need most and the most valuable things to you, should someone strip you down to your core.

Everyone has their own thoughts =)

Would this describe my affinity for Gemini and Sagittarius then? They are in my 4/10 and I also have very prominent Gem/Sag placements (Sun, Moon, Venus, Merc) in Vedic and Draconic charts.

10H Gemini-I NEED (!!!) cannot emphasize this enough many things to work with as I get bored in a heartbeat. As much information as possible. CHOP CHOP CHOP Hands also turn me on (believe this is a Gem thing...). I also have Pallas, Vesta and Eros in Gemini. My Dad is a Gemini. My brother is a Gemini.

Sag 4H-my home is very easygoing and flowing. Many colors and very eclectic with things from my trips. I also don't like to stay in one place so I travel alot. I consider everyone my friend and they are welcome to put their feet on dinner table and chillax for a while. My grandmother was a Sag. Neptune is in Sag. I love and grew up with horses. Whenever I feel trapped I head for the largest field of grass I can find and then I breathe. My mom is an alcoholic (rxNeptune ?)

I also have Jupiter in 9H conj my MC, which is in Taurus but I think this only brings out my love for all things Sag even more.

I would call these 2 signs my "home" and energies I most relate too.

The other signs that SHOULD be prominent in my soul are:

Cancer (sun, venus, merc) 11H
Capricorn (moon) 5H
Virgo (mars, asc) 12H

From those I can conclude that:

1: I am very Uranian ie erratic
2: I am flamboyant and slightly dramatic. Love arts.
3: I have little patience and very apt at sports
4: I care for humanity as a whole and don't really want too many close relationships. I can find friends wherever on map you put me.
5: I am superbly analytical. Might border on a disease..
6: I hate clingy people.

Moon conjunct Nadir
Uranus square Nadir
Chiron opposite Nadir
Ishtar, Eros, and Hekate opposite Nadir

What can you say about these aspects?

So,since my IC is in Leo. Does that mean that I am a Leo at my core; egotistical, flamboyant, showy and proud? LOL

I joke of course as I know exactly what you mean.

In the Chaldean order of planets, the Sun is ruler of the 4th house and,is thus, connected to the IC.

I have Pluto squaring the IC- so it adds that "detective" element to my core?

I agree with this part.I am very private person and so, this complements my Sun-Neptune conjunction in any case nicely.

Marriage and family (4th and 7th) are often two primary areas in any person's life. The 7th and 10th house are the most public orientated of the houses, and planets in these houses may bring the individual prominently into the public in some way. Scorpio IC, i do feel like a scorpio sometimes deep down. The IC should be given more importance.

The sign on this cusp is how you feel deep down, nobody might see it or sense it but its your inner life and soul.

Chiemi-

It really rings true for me, with planets on angles!

Mars on ASC
Jupiter on MC
Uranus and Neptune on either side of IC

Those are the planets that will tell you who I am. And it also reinforces the fact that I have a stellium in 11H (uranus) and a Pisces Dsc (Neptune/Jupiter).

I am a Warriror.
I am Spiritual and believe in Divine Love.
I am Erratic.

I have also noticed that people with Saturn on an angle are so Saturnine that their life appears EXTREMELY serious, bordering on doom and gloom and I have a very hard time with them. My Jupiter just cannot relate!

I also want to add that I thank my Mars and my Jupiter for taking me through life's darkest hours by the way of sheer, physical power and a relentless attitude of never wanting to give up and also always believing that Universe will have my back no matter what!

I'm a Cancer Asc so the 4th house figures very prominently in my life.

I have Virgo Sun Conjunct IC & Libra Mercury/Venus/NN/Chiron in 4th. I also have Moon in 1st/ Neptune (conjunct Desc) and Uranus in 7th/ and Saturn conjunct MC (from the 9th).

As I've gotten older, I'm starting to notice that the sign and house of my Sun shows more. I'm very "motherly" and I really enjoying cooking for people, caring for them, and spending time with someone. Plus I've actually gotten wayyy more tidier over the years lol, I used to HATE cleaning as a kid, and my mom used to always have to tell me to but now I catch myself cleaning for the heck of it.

With Saturn on my MC, I do really well in my work environment and I tend to get noticed for my work. I don't half-do things on a job.

My sister also has a big MC signature in her chart Sun/Mercury/Jupiter and she's easily noticed when she's out and about. She likes to work alot too and she's become really responsible with saving/budgeting as she's gotten older.

Awww mannn lol, but I have saturn on the MC and Saturn trine Asc

No hard feelings haha. I don't think I'm super serious, but I've always had a maturity about myself. My mom rarely (with extra emphasis on rarely) had to discipline me for my behavior. I knew right off the bat how to behave, do well in school, not fight, etc.

I also have a lil' bit of Jupiter action in my chart, so it helps. I think I'm more optimistic than doom/gloom really.

It's funny since I have a Cap Moon actually! I should be able to relate but I can't. It's nothing wrong with being serious at all but it's a mood that I rather not be around. I am super goofy

I have a leo moon and Jupiter/Mars/Pluto in 5th, I'm kind of corny around the people I'm close to lol.

Do you have any planets in 5th?

I do identify heavily with my IC in Capricorn, but then I also have a Saturn-heavy chart:
Capricorn stellium Mars/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune (all conjunct) with two planets either exalted/domicile (Mars/Saturn). My moon is also in 10H, and sometimes my Leo moon feels a little Cappy-colored.

I do think the IC is often overlooked.

Have Aquarius in the fourth.

Growing up had a lot of antique scientific equipment around which my dad collected. My parents always had the newest technology too & gadgets.

I like my home to have unusual furniture & art. Would love to live in some unusual building esp that doesn't have typical residence features. Suburban living, unless I can turn it on its head somehow, kills my soul a little

I'm thinking this is Aquarians ic or fourth house.

Read up on the ic prompted by this thread and it says have to embrace the ic before can feel the mc benefits. Which makes sense even though some parts of Aquarius eludes me. But maybe need to be less appealing of attention & approval and go my own way which I do in some specific areas but less so in others

I have 28 degree Scorpio Ic with Pallas conjuncting from 3H, Psyche from the 4th, & 0 degree Sagittarian Venus conjuncting from the 4th. No, I am not an interior decorator & most of my clothes stay in a rolling suiitcase. I feel very Plutonian & attract other Plutonians with a ton of fire & air.
