Can Saturn transiting 3rd house cause writers block? Inability to express oneself through words? I'm a poet/songwriter and I've the WORST WRITERS BLOCK ever since Saturn started transiting my 3rd house (Dec 2012). I have natal pluto in the 3rd house as well. I haven't been able to write a song/poem since then... Ughhh. Also when I try to dig up my deep thoughts, I lose focus and get super A.D.D. Insight anyone? IP: Logged |

Yes, I can see this causing writer's block due to anxiety, not a lack of talent/potential. I would also look to your progressed Mercury and what's going on in your 3rd there for more information. This transit can indicate deeper thinking, more philosophical thinking. Sudden delays in speech due to anxiety are possible. You may have doubts about your intellect so you study and hit the books 5x as hard as you once did [if you are in school]. You may feel more easily alienated from others in your immediate environment, especially neighbors, relatives, and siblings. IP: Logged |

If Poetry/songwriting is your profession, I'd check aspects to Mercury, the 6th house as well as the ruler of the 6th house.Otherwise, if you are doing it for fun,I would check aspects to Venus,the 12th house,5th house and the aspects to their respective rulers. Inability to concentrate is not Saturn, IMO. Saturn hones in your ability to follow through.Saturn makes things SERIOUS. Saturn in 3rd could actually be the reason that you are busy kicking yourself and saying "come on! I need to get busy already. Why the hold up?" Have you written stuff and then perhaps thrown them away?
Have you written poems and then, in the middle, think that they are not good enough?
Is your waste bin full of aborted tries? If so, you are "working", but it is Saturn that wants you to "up" your game. Prove yourself as a bona fide Musician/Poet

Saturn transit in the 3rd house is about reviewing our perception of the world around us, in order to better communicate with it. So, maybe you have pressed the pause button rather than being blocked.
