Like I can feel peoples' emotions, its quite scary. Like I can feel if someone is being cold to me, no matter how much they try to hide the coldness from I can still see the subtleties. In one little subtle body language I can read their moods, and most of the time it's turn out to be true. If theere is negative energy vibes froms someone i become negative too and i brood about it why they are so moody and negative...

Does anyone get hurt when someone is like cold for no reason and you can just feel it in their air that their mood and attitude has suddenly changed toward me without them even being direct about it or saying anything.

Well before you posted this I literally just typed out this huge long response in an old thread about empaths and was about to bump it so... Sometimes life trips me out lol even online.

Anyway the short answer is yes to the "psychic sponge" part (precognition, knowing what someone is thinking or about to say, etc.) and since my moon-Neptune transit started I've been going through the empath side of it too. I'll refrain from rambling but true it can be disturbing... Doesn't have to be as scary once you realize what's going on though.

I honestly can't say and sorry didn't mean to make it sound like ppl with psychic/empathetic abilities are "gifted" or something.. I honestly believe everyone has the potential to an extent. Although of course there could be something in your chart or transits that set this off. Anyway basically I just meant you have to recognize that some of these negative emotions aren't yours personally.. So learning to stay "grounded" and keep yourself in a positive environment around positive ppl is essential imo.

Idk you have to consider the whole chart but I think things like telepathy/precognition (which would be more in the air and fire signs territory) are different from "empath" abilities so it depends on how you define that I guess and there's always variation..

Are you more sensitive than others ? Well, we can't know for certain, because we can hardly measure it. Some are aware of their sensitivity, some aren't.

I can feel other people's feelings all the time. I also find it that whatever my first impression of people are, are always right. Maybe because they're giving off those vibes whether they are good people or not so good people.

I've had countless moments where I feel unusually down and I don't know what the reason is. But then when I observe the people around me, they're usually down with me as well. They usually have a reason why they're down and then there's just me sitting aroud wondering what's wrong with me. It wasn't until a few months ago until I found out I was an Empath. I can feel the emotions of those who are close to me stronger than those who are not. This is why I get so affected when my friends get into fights with each other. And also when people in my family are fighting and even I'm not involved in it, I feel angry and agitated as if I was also in the fight. I tend to absorb the feelings in my environment. Sometimes it gets too overwhelming that it caused me to have anxiety. But that was a few months ago. Now I am more aware of the feelings that I feel and I keep myself guarded from other's feelings so that they don't drain me.

The weird thing is, I only have one water placement, which is the Moon.

it's only useful sometimes. like when you want the feel of a situation or person before you continue down the path you're on.. Being an empath is great then... But standing in a room of people you dont know and you go from everything is fine, to wanting to cry, and then angry for no reason except that SOMEBODY ELSE is feeling it... It's obnoxious at best. I used to term myself an emotional vampire, sucking up everybody's feelings. But that implies I need their emotions to sustain myself, which I dont... and don't think you'll be able to just ignore it, I've tried. It's like trying to ignore a screaming child standing next to you..you can pretend it's not there, but you still hear them loud and clear.

This is exactly what happens to me a lot of the time, and it even causes arguments with others because I tend to want to say something about what I clearly sense another is feeling (typically a bad emotion) and they might deny it but I just sense it very clearly and I unintentionally absorb it, and then I feel miserable afterwards. I have a Cancer ASC and Moon in the 12th, I think this is a trigger for it astrological wise. It's so draining a lot of the time, I feel depressed.

I was at this festival back in late October of last year called the Masquerade of the Red Death (named after the Edgar Allen Poe story) and they had a couple of psychics there. The young woman I got was incredibly sweet, and incredibly right on about me. She picked up and held the ring I always wear and definitely got my vibes. I do recall her saying that I was a lot like her in the sense that I people watch and pick up easily on other's emotions and the environment, and something about sensing the pain in others and in animals. Ever since that experience with her I have noticed it more and more. Most of the time though I hate it, because it just completely switches my demeanor and emotions off like a light. I could be feeling good, and five minutes later I am down when there seems to be negative energy around me. Like others have said, it's draining.

I would consider myself something of a psychic sponge. I am pretty sure I've always been this way. I never needed to ask what other folks are feeling, since I can feel it around them, in the tone of their voice, in their body language.
It can be overwhelming, particularly when it's negative. I can't stand when I am around others being negative, especially now, since I've been having my own negative feelings lately. It really ticks me off, and I leave the room, if I can.

I have Moon con. Asc in the 1st, and it is trine Neptune and Uranus.

I soak other's ppl energy like a sponge, its pretty bad when the energy is negative.
Last month in my dentist's office, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth told me she had skin cancer and was due for chemo. She was depressed and I felt her pain so much so that when i exited the bldg i threw up on the side of my car before i got in. I couldnt shake it off for a whole week, even a sore popped up on the side of my mouth. Ugh.
Could it be that my hypochondria kicked in at that time, as well.

Im heavy on Neptune, with a Pisces Rising and Pallas is on my ASC

I have mercury conjunct neptune and uranus and they all trine my 3rd house moon. My sun is in the 12th house and my pluto is heavily activated. I have asperger's syndrome which is supposed to make me oblivious to other's emotions but I don't really think that's the case. I think more often than not I pick up on and understand people's emotions but rarely know how to respond appropriately to said emotions thus I come across as clueless and cold. I have also seen other aspies say similar stuff. I read that people on the autism spectrum are so sensitive to others energy that they sort of shut down and block it all out. I'm not so sure how true that is but it is an interesting theory in my opinion.
