I understand the concept and idea behind the Davison chart but what I don't understand is how one is supposed to go about interpreting it Do you interpret aspects and planetary placements the same as you would a natal chart?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

In a nutshell... yes. You can read interpretations of the aspects for a natal chart and apply them to your relationship.

Don't make the mistake of confusing the Davison or Composite aspects with Synastry, though. I did that in the beginning of studying these charts, but have since learned my lesson. The Synastry is how the two people "feel" about each other. The Davison and Composite are how the two people "act" with each other, or how the relationship "acts" in the world.

Sometimes the interpretations are quite literal. For example, my husband and I have Neptune in the 4th of our Davison. From the beginning of our relationship, "water in our home" has triggered key changes in our lives.

Once we had to move because of a major flood that flooded our home completely.

Once we had to completely replace all the flooring in our home because of major plumbing issues that flooded the house.

We are constantly having issues with water related things... dishwashers, toilets, tubs, showers, you name it. If it involves water and the home, it becomes a problem at some point.

The largest event was when the literal EYE of Hurricane Katrina went DIRECTLY over our home, destroying it. We had to move and buy a new house.

That Neptune is exactly sextile Pluto in 2nd and Jupiter in 6th. Thus, those Neptune related problems usually bring changes in our finances (cost us a lot of money) and an increase in our daily work (we have to fix the stuff, or work on moving, etc.)

It's also square the Sun-Moon conj in the first, so those Neptune issues usally bring stressful times to our relationship in general.

The good news, though, is that the Neptune in 4th is tightly conjunct our Ceres-Juno conjunction, so despite the initial stress and problems, it usually brings us closer together and ends up strengthening our marriage and family in the long run.

The other thing I've noticed, is that the changes always end up being a blessing in disguise and benefitting us.
-When the dishwaher broke, we found a better one on sale.
-When our house flooded, we found a bigger, better place in a better location. The house we were staying in was next door to my mother-in-law, who I cannot tolerate, so getting to move away from her was a real blessing to me.
-When Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home, we were able to find a better home in a wonderful location where we have great neighbors and have been able to raise our family for the 8 years since. Plus, the tragedy ended up drawing our community closer, so, again, it brought some blessings with it.

I'll probably wind up posting the chart up in a bit. It's confusing.

Aquarius ASC with Uranus in Scorp in the 10th house loosely conjunct the MC.

Uranus receives some nice aspects too!
Uranus trine Mars
Uranus sextile a Jupiter Saturn conjunction

The Moon is in Scorp 10th house as well squaring the nodes but sextiling the Sun Mercury conjunction.

The Sun Mercury conjunction is squared by the Jupiter Saturn conjunction.

It's all kind of confusing...
