This happened around the same time I moved to a new place with tons of fun, new neighbours. So far, my social life has really picked up, both from my new home and just family and school, and I'm SO excited about it!! More energy, too, at least most of the time (Jupiter will sextile my Ascendant). I'm totally ready. Let's bring it. 
Very sorry to anyone here I haven't replied to yet (especially my email girlfriends!), I really suck at time management and you do deserve more.
But I do agree not to get your hopes up too high. Jupiter is great for some more happiness and optimism, but it also expands whatever it touches. So if it touches a hard planet, it may bring up some of its bad traits. Just a warning from a Saturnine person. 
And just to show you it's not just me talking: when Jupiter opposed my natal Moon, Neptune and IC - which it did for a very, very long time - I became extremely vulnerable, emotional, lots of things that made me cry. Brought up a lot of pain from my childhood, too. So that's the other side of Jupiter's story, guys.
But I did have some amazing, sweet girlfriends who helped me through that tough time. Wouldn't have been able to do it without them - or at least, it would've been so, so, so much harder and taken me a lot longer to be able to pick up my life again. For the ones from LL whom this is about, you know who you are! 
First Jupiter to my Ascendant and Descendant, then my Antivertex and Vertex, and then my Sun and South Node. I like. Again, so much looking forward to this period!
Edit: ahdjd forgot the most important thing: Jupiter is going through the end of my 10th house and then my 11th. It rules my 3rd house (the neighbour/local area thing). Sounds good, right?
But nothing bad about Jupiter in Cancer, I have this natally. It's a very sweet energy that makes me want to look out for others all the time.
