My little girl is an Aries sun/mars (conjunct) and she can play ball for HOURS. I swear she's so lively and feisty. She's super bossy, but also loving, and very motherly to other pups (her cancer moon, maybe?). She'll run up and check on other pups if they make a noise, if you're crying she'll come and lick your tears. She just knows...

This is just short anecdotal examples from my own household. Looking forward to hearing others' takes.

Every time I hand him table food, he'll have to sniff it for a bit to make sure it's "good enough" for him (even if it's the same thing he already ate a minute ago!) - (now keep in mind, not all dogs do this, as I've seen most dogs that don't, especially after they found out what it was after the first piece of food).

He already doesn't like dog food as it is, but he ends up eating it once he realizes that he isn't getting any table food that day.

I also had a female Taurus dog, and she was the most cute little dog ever, everyone loved her... she was a very pretty dog, who loved people more than other dogs and she was very energetic too!

The 2 cats are Mother & Daughter and they rarely get along..

The Mother is a Taurus Sun/Moon shes very lazy, sleeps 90% of the time lol she also has a mean side she used to attack me all the time when she was younger!
She has Pluto Square Mars..
But when I'm sad she puts her paws on my arm and just sits there like she's trying to comfort me.. <3 she has a Cancer Venus

Also, whenever she knows someone's looking at her, she'll start walking around things really slowly as if she was trying to show off all her beauty lol even people that come to my house are like "oh that kitty is such a showoff" lol. She'll also stop walking randomly and turn her head back around and look at you lmao she's so cute.

I have in my life right now:

2 virgo dogs
- both super finicky eaters, worry ALL the time about their humans and their fur-buddies, both super intelligent and loyal

2 leo dogs
- both always want to sit on you and cuddle, both very proud, dominant and stubborn, both oddly won't accept treats from strangers. both scared of getting in trouble, both early risers and early to bed (not sure if that's a Leo trait but they both have it)

1 aries dog
- totally laid back/goes with the flow for the most part, but decides for himself when it's time to go for a walk and will tell you insistently, greedy with the ball/stick, does things his way not your way, shy and sensitive in a way seems like he feels left out sometimes and he gets embarrassed about leaving doo-doo out in the open (he tries to hide behind trees)

1 scorpio dog
- very obsessive, and doesn't trust anyone, jealous and controlling, but EXTREMELY loyal and affectionate with those she loves most

The Golden went out of her way to lick face (and arse) 24/7 and the Pit Bull didn't move out of her way for anyone :-/

However, they both encompassed the opposite sides within themselves so when push came to shove the Golden was FAR dominant and grabbed the Pit by her throat many times to show who was Queen.

I have Moon op Sun.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. It's funny how animals act more on basic instinct and are pure to their emotions/how they feel. I view it as a very clear expression of astrological traits because they aren't trying to hide behind a facade/afraid to feel vulnerable/trying to mask imperfections. They are what they are.

In regards to the above, that seems SO TRUE. My Aries pup is a total boss and alpha. Greedy with toys, bossy, keeps everyone in line. My scorpio boy submits to her, but when it counts he will stand up to her. He is fine being beta, though, 90% of the time.
