Is there anything in your natal that would explain losing your mother early in life? (I lost mine when I was 20, may not be extremely 'early' but I still consider it so). I read the MC is the mother, but the only link I can make is that my MC is in Capricorn and my mother's sun sign was Capricorn.. Which is probably nothing more than a coincidence. IP: Logged |

The MC is the mother? Isn't it the father? Astrology still has traditional rules so MC = public/career/father and IC = private/domestic/mother My dad has Chiron conjunct MC and Pluto conjunct IC He lost both of his parents, the father was murdered.

My mom lost her mom at 16, my mom has Moon conjunct Uranus in 3rd house, she also has a Moon/Pluto aspect. I think 12th house Moon and Moon/Saturn can also show separation of mother. But don't know about children/young adult losing their mothers, this is probably transit based, like Moon is aspecting your Uranus at the time of mother's death or something along those lines, I guess...IP: Logged |

Honestly, Karka, you're probably right lol, I think I mixed them up or read them as opposite that way.I have Moon opposite Pluto and Moon square Saturn. As for checking with MC and IC aspects, would that just be whatever planet rules those houses aspecting Pluto/Chiron? I'm not sure how to figure that out. IP: Logged |

I lost my mum when I was 23.Not sure if this info helps but I'll try. I have chiron widely conjunct my IC (I think it can also represent the mother?) and the ruler of my IC is Venus which tightly conjuncts my Moon in 8th house. IP: Logged |

My Moon is conjunct Chiron. My Moon is tightly trine 2H Uranus. My mom left me for some time because she was in a controlling, abusive relationship and I had a choice to live there with them, but decided to leave. She couldn't/wouldn't leave with me. I don't really hate her for it, it just makes me sad that that happened. The guy is dead now. I also agree that Moon-Pluto may lead to sudden loss of the mother. Transformative, shocking experiences related to the home... also 8H Moon and/or Mercury could lead to sudden death of the mother and/or another relative, particularly at a young age. IP: Logged |

Yes, it is interesting how this configuration tends to play out with early death of a relative. I have read this from multiple sources and I've seen it play out in RL charts I've read. I am sorry that your father lost his parents the way he did. I feel like 8H planets in general just expose someone to death, either literal or figurative death, at a young age, perhaps too young. It can be the literal death of a relative, or the death of the self and the rebirth into something new. I have also seen this play out in others with 8H planets and 8H influences. IP: Logged |
