I remember this one song I used to hear as a kid. Whenever I did, I couldn't stand it because it was so sappy. Problem is, it stuck in my head and I still remember it today even though I cannot stand it. I also vividly recall the way I felt whenever I heard. Uncomfortable. A neighbor put their stereo speakers to the window when they were drunk and blasted the song so everyone could hear it. I couldn't just change the channel. I remember thinking, oh God it's that song. They would sing along and whoop. It was the song I Believe In You by Don Williams and I grimace as I type it!I am trying to figure out what in my chart would cause me to dislike such songs? Anyone like this kind of music? IP: Logged |

I'd think astrology would help explain why in an indirect way. For example, if your chart makes you rebellious and songs like that are popular then you won't like it for that reason, but if you lived in an area that prided itself on being harsh and gritty then you would, because in the latter case that would be going against the grain by liking it and in this case hate whatever was popular instead. And ditto in reverse if your chart pushed you to conform and adopt the standards of whoever you considered your people (family, nation, sect, clique, gang, whatever). Another possibility is because you think sappy songs, cards, saying, cover up a harsh reality which either offends your sense of truth or evokes your bitterness for not being able to share in it and thus you hate it for mocking you for what you can't (or won't) have. I think my mom is that way and comes mostly (but not completely) from her Scorpio energy, but only because her energy has gone bad from some harsh life lessons when young. Had she come of age differently (learning different lessons) then she could feel very differently. Though your example is one of having it forced on you, and perhaps that means the song itself is irrelevant, the fact that your personal space and personality were challenged or even violated may have offended you, especially if say you had to listen to songs like that alike when forced to go to church, family functions, and the like and as part of a system to cover up the ugly underbelly or even just didn't interest you (but you were forced to listen to it anyway). In this case songs like that become a symbol and a reminder for that. IP: Logged |

It's not that I hated it for mocking me, I just don't like the melody, the words, or anything about it. Just that dah-dah dah slow waltz or something...bothers me thinking about it lol. IP: Logged |

You have moon opposite Neptune correct?Neptune being the higher octave of Venus (so I'm told lol - not sure EXACTLY what that means) Anyway, you can figure the rest out. That's what I thought of. IP: Logged |

I was wondering about Moon opp Neptune and that's why I feel so alienated from that song. IP: Logged |

Yeah. My Neptune squares Venus, in 12 so it's a different. But maybe you feel that it controls your mood more than you'd like. I don't like to feel "put" in a mood unless I want to be "put" in a mood. Maybe Leo Venus would play a role in that... Idk. Or, simply, you weren't in a particularly good time in your life when you used to hear it. IP: Logged |

I just don't like certain songs. I have no idea why. Usually they are sappy ones like the one mentioned.I wonder about Neptune being a higher octave of Venus... I personally don't think it is nor do I think Uranus is a higher octave of Mercury. To me, Neptune is the planet of confusion, passivity and a sense everything is alright. It is also the drug planet. Uranus is the planet of stubborness, independence, not wanting to be like everyone else, and specialness. It's the one-of-a-kind, rare find planet. IP: Logged |

I don't like it either. It feels like a lot of music they funnel out into shopping area, adverts. And I find the rhythm depressing even if the lyrics are uplifting. It's kind of not really an emotion more a manufactured oneOh I just realised I was thinking of I believe I can fly. IP: Logged |
