And do they laugh at you when you're watching something on TV and you say, "he has got to be a Leo... look at that hair... that attitude"?

This happened last night. But I Googled the guy in question (Martin Gore / Depeche Mode guitarist and keyboardist) and I was RIGHT.

My hubs just rolled his eyes. Like "whatever"... well boo to him! I know what's up! *lol*

I don't live with one, but most people I know think astrology is BS and think I'm crazy for believing in it.

Haha. Hate when that kind of **** happens.

My family knows I'm into Astrology and my mom believes in the little of what I have told her about/talked about countless times. We're so close so we tell each other everything and she completely respects my beliefs. Before me, she only knew that she had a Sun sign but I have opened up a whole new world for her even though she doesn't research anything herself. It's super cool though. Sun sign is like what only 90% of people know so that's of course why there are so many disbelievers, they have little to no idea that it's so much more and that the planets have a huge influence on us.

I personally find it kind of sad, in a sense of close-mindedness/ignorance, but not everyone in the world is going to believe in the same thing or be interested in the same thing, so I try and learn to accept it. It's hard though, lol because it's like there is a whole other 'world' outside, but so few are interested enough to explore off the beaten path and discover it for themselves.

I'm trying my best not to care if people think it or I'm crazy for my beliefs. I just look at them and laugh for not trying to open their minds to the possibilities of things to which they think don't exist but have no solid, concrete proof to back it up to me as to why it doesn't. I know Astrology is not recognized as a true science, but it almost doesn't need to be, it is what it is and it's sure more than enough for me to believe.

Btw, Depeche Mode are great

Yes.

Its fun proving people wrong and convincing them to study it. My sister thought I was crazy until I explained her birth chart to her and freaked her out.

Now shes jumped on the crazy train with me!

I don't do stuff like that when my boyfriend is around:P I don't tell him about astrology, cause he will just think I'm nuts!

But my best friend and I, we both know about astrology so I always talk with her about it, and we feel like two little mysterious scorpios (and she is actually scorpio sun)

Yeah, Martin is a Leo and Andrew looks like a typical Cancer.

Story of my life to have many deep and hard core skeptics in my life, my spouse included. He says some very mean things, so I don't go into it really. I had two very staunch Catholics friends almost foam at the mouth over the near mention of astrology.

More often than not. It's no big deal to me, my air can shift at a moment's notice and I can usually stick to what I think would interests someone.

My husband thinks it's witchcraft, but he knows I'm into it and won't budge. Still, I hide my astrology books and we never talk about it.

Bit by bit I have been exploring astrology with my Sag son (when my husband's not around.) He was immoderately interested in the Chinese astrology reading that came on a placemat at a restaurant years ago...and one thing has been leading to another.

I've only told one person in my "real life" that I'm on this forum, and given her my screen name so she can look at my posts if she wants to. Other people know I'm on "a forum" and that I'm interested in astrology, but I still conceal the extent of it, and outright hide it from some of my friends.

I don't broadcast it for all to know, but my partners are open to it.

I use it so much and see events unfold in ways that known interpretations haven't covered.

I've had thoughts like "Uranus is currently squaring your Mercury right now, so don't expect to always make sense or for the people around you to remain the same" etc. LOL

I love ASTROLOGY and intend on using it in my practice as a psychologist.

<3 Depeche Mode lol

I get made fun of a lot from family, friends, coworkers/ bosses, and roommates for my belief and practices in astrology... until they actually allow me to explain it to them and read their charts, then they take me seriously.

I normally won't get too deep into it, but it depends on the person and how well I know you. Most times I'll just ask for your birthday so I can get a small inkling of what we're working with.

Most of my friends aren't too into astrology, nothing passed sun signs anyway, but they accept my interest and support it. They'll end up giving me people's birth info to look at their natal charts and explain it to them. I've noticed the more I explain, the more interested people become because it always tends to ring true.

But, like I said, I really won't get into it too frequently or with too many people because either A) I don't have the energy to explain/defend myself and listen to them go on and on about how 'stupid' it is, or B) I don't want to become the party trick and sit in the middle of a perpetually-growing crowd of people who want me to analyze their charts as well as all of their exes and their family members. (This actually happened to me about two months ago; last time I ever discuss astrology at a large [15+] dinner.)

Yeoooo! Me too, I'm going to major in psychology, I think Astrology and Psychology are closely related in a way. Like, there's no major in college called 'Astrology', so I'm doing psych. Of course, there's 'Astronomy', but that's really not an interest of mines because it doesn't really explain why we act the way we do based on the sky.
