Is it four or more bodies in one house? Or do they have to be very tight with each other (e.g. only 1-3 degrees distance)?

Well since no one answered.

Different sources say different things.
Some say four planets.
Some say three but all have to be conjunct.

Here on LL I think generally people use 3 or more planets in a sign/house, conjunct or not.

It also seems that having either Sun or Moon inside the stellium makes it stronger. I.e. a stellium that has Sun or Moon inside is considered dominant even if it's made of only three planets, not four or five. But I heard it referring only to same-sign stellium, disregarding houses.

Also, most astrologers would say that if more than two of the planets are either Sun, Mercury, or Venus, it isn't a stellium (3 planets), or as powerful a stellium (four planets) since the first two personal planets are always very close in sign to the sun. It's more happenstance--but still a concentrated energy.

To me, 3 or more planets in a sign or a house and they don't have to be conjunct.

Based on the variety of answers here, I have a third house stellium with Pluto, Mars, Venus & Uranus.

If we add in the asteroids, I have a fourth house stellium with Moon, Neptune, Vesta & Pallas.

Hubby has one in the first house with Mars, Venus, Saturn & Chiron.

My daughter (if we count 3), has a Moon, Neptune & Chiron stellium in the eleventh house.

What about points? For example, Mars, Saturn and ASC in Leo?

Agreed. And it seems like some people use it as fodder to have an astrological pi$$ing contest.

"Crikey -- That's not a stellium -- THIS is a STELLIUM." (SIX planets, CONJUNCT with ONE degree orbs in the SAME House and SAME sign, walking uphill both ways in fifteen feet of snow...)

I share the same confusion. I always thought it was at least 3 or more planets (person) in the same sign, in the same house.

I have Taurus sun, Aries Mercury and Aries Venus in the 12th, with Ceres in Aries there as well. Apparently, that gives me a stellium.

I don't know how strong it is now that it's been said Sun/Mercury/Venus in it won't be as powerful because they're all close together.. And only Mercury and Venus conjunct each other. Ceres conjuncts Venus but makes no aspect to Mercury, and semi-sextiles my Sun.

Who knows lol
