How powerful are exact aspects? Is it dominating that sign? Makes the planets being aspected felt more? All in natal chart. I know that they're rare and are dominant but just how much? IP: Logged |

I don't know for sure, but the Pullen charts at astro.com must put a lot of weight into that when they calculate planet dominance. I have three planets within about 15 minutes orb, and they are ranked 1, 2, 3 by Pullen. #1 Jupiter 16.01 Aries #2 Mars 16.01 Gemini #3 sun 15.50 Cap IP: Logged |

Hmm... I think they are felt more. With conjuction is hard to know are you feeling, reacting this way because of Planet A or B.In recent years i've notice astrologers aren't using midpoints that much. If planets are in very close orbit they are touching also mipoint. Some people have Sun opposite Saturn and others have Sun opposite Saturn and Saturn and Sun being in aspect with Sun/Saturn midpoint. Exact/close orbit aspects are trigger by transits. Transits can show the true potencial of that aspect in our natal chart, because they are aspected in the same time or pretty close. You don't have to wait another 2 years for Uranus trine your Sun after it has trined your Jupiter. IP: Logged |

I'm thinking the same too. I had no idea where they got moon as one of my dominant planets, it just so happens to my exact my sun. IP: Logged |

I think they're felt more too, a lot more potent. I think whatever sign the planets are in the sign dominates. I honestly don't pay to much attention to transits, it's not like we can stop them. IP: Logged |

Well I have two of them, at very distinct antipodes. I feel like that person in cartoons, with an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. The Angel = Moon conjunct Neptune 29 Sag in the 11th. It does not get any more idealistic than this. Whenever I think about what makes me most human (and a humanist), this is it. The Demon = Mars 28 Aries opposite Pluto 28 Libra, 3rd/9th axis. Responsible for most of the gore, violence, abuse and destruction in my life and my subsequent attraction to them. And other extreme stuff. So yes, they're important. They're the biggest *themes* in my life and I am constantly conflicted between them - believe it or not, the "angelic aspect" is actually conjunct SN and has often dragged me back, while the "demonic one" is trine/sextile the Nodal axis and embracing it and finding positive outlets for it has made my inner life a whole lot richer and more beautiful. ------------------ ~the raving one dancing in the nude~ IP: Logged |
