What kind of transits or progressions could herald a period when a person is more likely to take up smoking, drinking or doing something excessively without having had such inclinations before. Is there something specifically in the natal chart that predisposes people for such things? What kind of transits trigger such behavior? IP: Logged |

Neptune, mostly.Pluto can have the same effect. Especially via hard transits to personal planets or the ASC. I don't think that there's a specific inclination in the natal chart. But if there is, then it's mostly Water placements and Neptune contacts to personals. I think any placements can manifest that way however, especially when there are many afflictions - inner conflict triggers the urge to use a way to escape and run away from oneself and one's problems. This is highlighted by hard Neptune and Pluto transits. There are probably others but it's a good start. IP: Logged |

That's what I thought, too. I started smoking a few months back and I was wondering how that could be reflected in my chart. I have tPluto square nSun, separating. In the following years Pluto will square my Ascendant. Then there is tNeptune in applying opposition to nMars (Asc ruler) but the orb is around 6 degrees, I don't think that it's in effect right now. I also have pMars square nNeptune, separating. The last lunar eclipse was conjunct my moon in the first house (orb less than 1) and it also activated my natal t-square (Moon opposition Pluto squared by Jupiter). Do eclipses have such effects? The Moon-Jupiter square is especially tight (50 minutes). IP: Logged |
