This might be a common trait among most Cap placements so chime in

Anyway, it hasn't been until recently, while trying to fix my life and keeping my alcoholic Mom sane and looking for a job and taking a driver's license (HARD here) and worrying about Dad's health, no money, been sick myself, that I have realized how Caps go about things.

There's only ONE mode and that is:

Solve the darn problem aka climb the mountain. Keep head up and don't look down. Focus! Don't get sidetracked!! Don't lose balance. Fight harder!! People demand your time? Screw them! It's you and the light at the end of the tunnel and nothing will stop you. Phone is ringing and beeping-texts galore-party here and party there, don't care, fix the problem first.

When you've finally reached that mountain top NO ONE is mightier than you! Sheer mental strength got you there and no one will ever able to take that away from you, ever.

You take the waterslide down to play with the fishies for a second or two. Take some breaths. Feel the sun, or rain, on your skin. Then you see a cloud appearing on the horizon and thus you get ready for another ascent.

For 37 years that has been my life. Even when I was much too young to carry the weight asked of me.

Yeah. I have cap stellium but my mother has cap moon and no one is more sane than her. She thinks that no one will take care of anything and she will eventually have to take charge. If something goes wrong, she blame herself for not taking the precaution. The world is not to be trusted. It's a very individualistic placement. Even more so than aries moon.

I can really understand why significant others become frustrated and/worried when Cappies are in "problem solving mode" and I can really see how Cappies could just call a relationship off just to solve a problem. There just isn't enough time for all of it.

That's how my boyfriend is. He has Capricorn moon and is a "fixer." Always looking for a situation to fix. His previous relationships he thought he could help people when they couldn't be helped.

Has trust issues because people took advantage of his generosity and desire to help right wrongs and fix things.

Knowing he is needed and that he can help goes a long way towards him feeling valued and loved.

You sound like a strong person, Charlie. I have a Cap stellium and you're the kind of person that sounds resilient and steadfast. There for people when the going gets tough. Those are the people that I WANT to be there for, too.

yep, cap moon here.
i am always striving, persevering, carrying the load...

years ago i was kinda ashamed of my cap moon. i wouldn't like to tell people of this placement. god, it seemed so boring and serious, especially compared to the rest of my chart.

when i met my lover, he said NO WAY! that's like the best placement for the moon. you can actually handle things, you're strong, and you get sh*t done! implementing saturnine qualities to the emotional realm, how functional indeed.

ever since then, i've embraced it and seen how without it, i would have broke long ago.

Great analogy👍

"Comparison with its symbol, the Goat: Goats are "agile animals" and "surefooted"(1). They are "gregarious, except for old bucks, which tend to live by themselves" (2) . Goats are considered to be rather hardy animals. Capricorn is most often compared to the mountain goat. Capricorns are thought to be loners at heart, with introverted characters. Mountain goats find security in cliffs and heights--the highest places that can be climbed. Slowly but surely, a goat climbs the mountain. And, Capricorns are thought to move through life, achieving success slowly but surely. A large measure of strength of character is also associated with Capricorn."

I wonder if 10th house moon has similar qualities. "Fixer" mode rings true for me, to the point where my ex would commonly tell me "I'm not telling you so you can fix this, just sharing with you...".

My Gemini sun will cause me to get distracted on the way up the mountain. But truth to tell, a lot less distracted than prototypical Gemini is advertised to get...

Well, the house indicate the area of your life. I know several 10th house moon and cap moon and I think there's still a difference. A leo moon in 10th still acts like a leo moon, just with a little bit if constraint and awareness of their public image.

A cap moon might not care about career at certain stage in their life, but the native will always be emotionally reserved and thinks that the world put heavy weight on them. Its first impulse is to analyze and strategize. A gem moon in the 10th would still be flighty. Many cap moons don't have very good emotional connection with their mothers, or the mother is perceived to be workaholic. On the other hand, 10th mooners have mothers who were really influential in their life, for better or worse

Ohhh boy, can I relate!

I have a cap moon, and I too have that practical "fix it" mentality.

Thinking back to my childhood, I can understand why the moon is considered in detriment in capricorn. I remember watching A Christmas Carol when I was very young, and thinking to myself, 'what's the big deal?' 'So what if Scrooge wants to evict families on Christmas Eve!' 'Its business.' Crazy, right?! I had emotional empathy for the characters, and probably wouldn't have evicted anyone myself, but I didn't think it was fair that the people around me reacted so emotionally to scrooge's actions. 'It's business!' What did allowing people to stay in their homes to celebrate Christmas really do for them anyways? Well I did think scrooge was a selfish jerk, I couldn't relate to villainizing him for it. Overall, I was emotionally unmoved by the story. I was like 8! Lol

Over the years, as I watched the movie again and again, my opinion never changed. The prevailing perspective was that Scrooge had the means to make so many problems disappear had he just provided for people. I could never agree with that. Instead of giving handouts which provides what? Temporary relief? Temporary happiness? Enacting better wage standards, and fairly sharing a little more of the wealth, yes! But, giving $ away simply because he had ample means to, no ways! Tiny Tim doesn't count; he was a special circumstance. Otherwise, I just didn't see the relevance of generosity in the circumstance. It makes me think, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." We don't soothe; we fix, and our solutions are farsighted.

I know this kind of approach is unsettling for someone who just needs an emotional refuge, but think of it this way: A capricorn moon isn't gonna sit around and wipe your tears; they'll be out making sure you don't cry any in the first place.
