You know the type. It's almost like they exist without being completely a material being. Like they don't really affect the material world. There is something ethereal about them, a presence that's more spiritual or emotional or mental rather than physical. Sometimes they may look fragile even without being small or thin.

Some of the classic aspects seem to be either Sun conj Neptune or Mars conj Neptune, especially in Air.

Anything else? More practical experiences?

I'm often uncomfortable trying to say I am this and I am that in fear of being/sounding too relatable. I'll quote a few of my tweets (which are reflections of my thoughts and feelings) and you tell me if it reflects the idea you have in mind. If so, I'll tell you my placements.

"You start to lose yourself in reality when dreams aren't enough anymore. All the hours in the day need to be full of illusion"

"You begin to find such a sound refuge in a complex mind-made world so that you are unconscious in your own consciousness. Lost in the light."

"It's both a magical phenomenon and a detrimental one if you let yourself go too far. You'll be stuck in a limbo of what is and what isn't."

"But there's all this beauty and I can't grasp it with the blink of an eye and I feel so inadequate that I can't inhale it deep within me."

"I'm on a different wavelength in this world. On a distant cloud floating to a distant place in a distant realm of existence."

"I need to be grounded. My head is always spaced out, shooting stars up my nose and getting high to the chilling breeze of night."

"Lost, lost, lost in thought sometimes I contemplate what it means to be real. Sometimes I forget I am human, bounded by duty and obligation."

"Sometimes I forget that I 'am'. I forget that I am an 'I' that needs to be driven and controlled. But how? I need to stop before I sink" (sink into Neptunian waters?)

"These thoughts are suicide of the soul, you are killing yourself without knowing you've killed yourself. And there's a funeral somewhere."

A little about me... I live in my head a lot. I fantasize a lot. I like to tune out of reality so much so that sometimes I am physically exhausted when I have to do "practical things" like grocery shopping. I get dizzy and feel really light-headed. I especially feel like that after I've spent so much time in my mind and then forced to come out of it. Unfortunately, these are sides of me that only I know because I am too eager to please people and soak them in. I love alone time. I love being alone. I love silence. I love the night. And I can go insane if I do not have time and space to fantasize and escape reality.

For my own chart, on the astrodienst free Liz Greene Psychology Try-out report she mentions something to what your're describing

"The world of human relationship means everything to you, and the feelings of others are primary on the scale of your values. Yet you are often caught in a conflict between your need for warmth and closeness with others, and your need for privacy, space and the freedom to pursue your own interests - which often involve abstract concepts quite divorced from human reality. You have great compassion for the problems of others, and may often find yourself playing the role of the good mother or father [...]
[..] There is something elusive and other-worldly about you, and although you respond warmly and sensitively to others and will happily nurture their potentials, you may experience some difficulty in truly committing yourself, because you fear being trapped in a monotony which[...]
Your openheartedness and strong feelings of empathy for others make you a supportive, caring and naturally self-sacrificing personality. You would do anything for those you love, and tend to forgive them almost anything; and however much you are hurt and disappointed, [...]"

I do have many Neptune aspects, no conjunctions though. On the Color Horoscope on astrodienst -- Moon, Mercury, Neptune is my strongest planets. With all this "fragile" crap in my chart, I still have a very strong-will

I love this

ETA:

I'm kind of ethereal but still do a pretty decent job of hiding it. In five years, my sun will progress into Pisces while Neptune is transiting conjunct my Pisces moon.

That'll space me out real good.

Thank you, darling! I'm like that too... I have it under wraps and that's because the ruler of my Pisces 1st house stellium (Sun, Merc, Venus, Saturn all conjunct each other) is in the 12th. + Neptune in the 12th + Transit Neptune conjunct that stellium. I have been excessively spaced out lately. I might as well break out of the corporeal world. LOL.

I fit into everything which has been said here.

Mars conjunct neptune, exact degree, first house, all sextile sun.

I have these weeks or several days(i should look at the transits next time it happens) when I don't even feel like i"m alive. it is so scary. i don't need to let myself have a blank mind or i'll end up feeling numb and just not here. this often happens when i'm on the street walking home/etc and I have these moments when I'm walking like a machine with an empty mind and i don't even feel my legs moving anymore... they're like moving by themselves, taking me somewhere. (i fixed this problem by getting earphones with me now) - i get numb and legit feel like im not there but in the same time i'm there and i get this discreet feel .. when you're right before to pass out and the world in front of your eyes starts to dim and you're like blacking out. i often lose the notion of I EXIST or I AM. nausea.. motion sickness.. eyes like rolling in the back of your head.. something like that. I'm not present.. i'm the narrator and it's all a movie. I have to focus VERY hard to get back here those times.

Weird thing is that I have played around with this and I can induce myself in such a state if i want to, but its hard if i focus on it, because the thing is that you dont have to focus on anything. i can barely get out of it if it happens too. This out of body feel gets at me randomly and unexpectedly but.. I'm trying to master it somehow, now.

I never thought of that as a type of person.
Ppl tell me I look so fragile like you could break me...i always thought it was a negative thing, like I looked that way because of all the trauma ive been through, I thought it meant I couldn't hide it and ppl could always see how fragile the pain had made me.
I like your explanation sooooo much better!

I have-
Saggy Sun/Neptune/Mercury stellium in 3rd
Libra AC/Pluto/Venus sextile Neptune
Virgo Moon in 12th unaspected
Moon exact opposed Pallas and 1degree Vesta
I believe Pallas shares much in common with Neptune

Pisces Lilith in the 5th house, Neptune rules 6th house. Neptune is in my 3rd, the ruler of my 3rd is Jupiter in the 12 th. everyday I feel like I'm not on earth, I'm in my own universe. I don't know what people mean when they say 'real world' because it feels like its all a lie to me, or just full of illusions and mixed perceptions.

I also have, moon Neptune, mercury Neptune, Neptune asc + mc, mars Neptune.

people have described me as ethereal and dream-like when it comes to my physical appearance.
i have a 12th house sun and mercury. and plenty of air. i'm often lost in my own thoughts.

with mars in the first, conj sun and asc, i can go the complete other way. i'm actually really strong and athletic. it surprizes people.

Wow, a fellow Moon Child or should I say Moon Queen funny, when I was little the Moon was my favorite thing to look at, I had a few children books with moon and stars in them, and they were my favorite books. I always wondered why I liked the Moon so much before I started learning about astrology, now I don't wonder anymore.

Water and air. Neptune definitely. As for air, Uranus and mercury. I don't think the moon has much to do with what you describe because the moon has a huge impact on our physical world, the earth. And Venus is concerned with physical pleasures and beauty, in the physical sense. Pluto is very grounding.

My Uranian Pisces boyfriend is like this. He's a big solid guy and a cap ascendant too but he just kinda gives off a very soft sweet vibe. He's got Neptune in the first house, I think he appears more dreamy than he actually is. He's what reminds me to do normal everyday things and that I need to survive. I take care of the random little things.

I always felt like I exist less than other people. Like I'm not as real as they are. I eat less. Dreams seem real, life seems like am dream. I never feel fully awake or aware. I go unnoticed a lot. I tend to slip out of people's lives very easily. Those automatic sinks and paper towel things never work for me lol. I rarely tan or even burn. I feel like the physical world has less of an effect on me than most people. I'm an aqua sun, sometimes I spend so much time in my head, I never get around to doing everyday things I need to do. I like living with other people and having pets because they remind me to keep a schedule.

Pisces and Aquarius are the "otherworldly" signs and I think that's true. Me and my boyfriend, we kinda exist on another world. It's very dreamy and nice, but I don't think we survive as well as other people do. Sometimes I feel like maybe we've done too many drugs so our perception of reality is screwed up forever, but I think that we've probably both always been like this so we are drawn to Inge that blur the line between reality and the surreal even more.
