Everyone has probably tried to experience something very random (but also very exciting) with an Uranus transit, or perhaps meeting a person you have a very strong uranus-synastry with? - the randomness in your meeting speaks for itself because of uranus.

So…EVERYONE has probably experienced this, right? Random events that pops out of nowhere, but seems to in fact have a deep impact on your life from that very moment.

What I don't understand then, is those people who just seems to be the SAME people all through their life? Like no matter how strong an uranian event they might experience, it DOESNT seem to have an impact on those people?
I mostly think about politicians, or people who doesn't seem to change their beliefs at all throughout their life.

What causes this? What causes people who just DONT change at all, even with the strongest uranian transits, or meetings with other interesting people they would have an exciting uranian synastry with?

My best inference would be a strong Saturnine and/or Plutonian influence in the natal. For a stubborn politician, I immediately thought Saturn sq. or conjunct Pluto, either either also touching the ASC and/or ASC ruler. These personalities are firm and values, more often than not, stay put. I also see Mercury-Pluto and Aquarian influences in the natal being good possibilities. I've also noticed that with stubborn politicians, Mars-Saturn frequently occurs along with Saturn-Pluto...

Examples: Mitt Romney has Saturn conjunct Pluto. John McCain has Saturn Rx in H1 trine Pluto, sq. Jupiter. John Boehner has Saturn con. Mars and semi-sextile Pluto exactly [his ASC is unknown, though]. Michelle Bachman has Pluto con. Jupiter in H1 and Pluto square Saturn. Sarah Palin has Moon in Aquarius, Mercury in Aquarius, and Saturn con. Mars.

All of these politicians strike me as being rather rigid and resistant to changing their views in certain areas. I'm non-affiliated so I don't hate Republicans and love Democrats, this is just an objective observation. The above individuals have been known to make intense and often controversial political statements and stand by them despite contrasting evidence gathered. Most of them are Tea Party Republicans. I see these kinds of people as being the least likely to be affected by a Uranian transit, because they rarely seem to have their minds changed about anything in general.

Those aspect like saturn-pluto is generational aspect though, so a lot of people are having them… maybe there is also something in the chart that makes people "restrict" against change? Like they can see it coming and they know they need it, but they simply refuse to make the change they need? Maybe some heavy 8th house, scorpio/taurus or 2nd house? Don't know why those sign pops up in my mind, but scorpio seems to be ruling change/transformation (or refusing to change and being destructive instead?)

My guess would be A mutable void and most personal planets in a fixed sign including the AC.

Picture a chart mainly fixed by sign and placement.

Oh yes, that's true - I totally forgot about that. Really good inferences about Taurus/Scorpio axis. That makes a lot of sense! Here's what I found that can support your theories with my aforementioned examples:

Mitt Romney: Moon in Scorpio, Moon rules H2 and trines Saturn/Mercury quincunx Pluto/Venus opp. Pluto with the 12th house in Taurus -- so, subconsciously resistant to change

Michelle Bachman: Same as Mitt. 12H in Cancer/Moon opposes Pluto, Jupiter.

John Boehner: Mercury sq. Pluto [no ASC known]

John McCain: Another Moon in Aquarius. Moon bordering the cusp of the 12th. 12H is ruled by Aqua, and Uranus is in Taurus. Another type who may be subconsciously resistant to change. 8H ruler opposes Saturn!
