Signs, planets, and I'm sure houses rule over certain parts of the body. I have a book about such things, but not in front of me and it's just a list anyway.

I'm a Leo which rules back. It's a strong back with great lifting capability but at the same time I have scoliosis. I just can't do squats and such that put great compression on the spine and jogging is a no no. I have daily discomfort and occasionally moderate but... I just deal and carry on. No sense in whining about it and sitting around. Just some heat and stretching and go about my day.
So it has a bit of both.

I think mercury rules hands. It's my strongest planet and I do like my hands. Jupiter trines and I have very big hands, strong hands. Occasionally misjudging their strength. (shaking hands, tightening something, etc)

I have sun square jupiter and Sextile moon.
Mercury conjunct Mars and square moon.

Is there a correlation to those strengths and weaknesses and my aspects?

Does anyone notice these things about their body?

Not just placement for the affected part and perhaps aspect for it's function...?

I'm not sure if it's exactly true for me or true in general.

Thoughts?

As a general case, it goes from Head to Foot Aries to Pisces.

Leo is Heart, Spine.

Gemini is Hands, Arms, Nerves.

My aunt was a Aries and died of of brain tumor. And so did an another Aries friend. My mom was a Pisces and hated her feet being touched. Really hated.

My ex was a Pisces and he had lots of feet problems, ingrown toenails and the like. Another ex, a Leo has heart problems and so did my grandfather. My grandmother was a Scorp and died of cervical cancer.

Another cousin, a Cap had knee surgery and had horrible teeth until she got braces.

And I am a Taurus, I have lots of sore throats and infections. I lose my voice quite often. There are others of course, these are just a few.

Well since everyone already knows which parts of the body the signs rule, I will share my opinion on what parts of the body the planets rule:

Brain - Mercury, Uranus and Jupiter and to some extent, Chiron (and yes, technically all the planets have to do with the brain, of course; Mars rules the Cerebellum, Mercury rules the Frontal Lobe, the Sun rules the Brain Stem, etc... but I am talking in more symbolic terms of Astrology. And Chiron because I believe Chiron represents the overall level of consciousness of a person; which is what the advanced function of the brain is all about).

Heart, Lungs and Respiratory System - the Sun (because the Sun gives life).

Stomach - the Moon and Neptune (because of "gut-feelings" and being sick from emotions).

Intestines - Mercury (because of discerning food for digestion).

Genitals - Pluto and Mars (because of lust, sexual energy and drive).

Skeleton - Saturn (because it's the structure of the body)

Eyes, Nose, Ears, Tongue and Skin - Venus (because of the senses and utilization of them with interaction with the environment).

Nervous System - Mercury and Uranus (because of electrical impulses in the Nervous System when having high nervous energy and mental stimulation).

A lot of these were already apparent from the zodiac sign(s) they rule. And I obviously didn't mention a lot of the important body parts, but these are the ones I could think of matching with a correlation to Astrology. Also, I am not satisfied with Neptune, as I can't really think of an appropriate body part for it (the best I can think of is the stomach, lol). Obviously the soul or Kundalini aren't body parts, and nor do I believe in them existing, so those are out for governorship for Neptune. The only other thing I can think of is the brain (the Parietal Lobe, to be specific), but Neptune doesn't particularly match the brain's advanced and iconic function; thought... not intuition and psychic tendencies, which are ruled by Neptune. And btw, I know Mercury rules the lungs in Astrology, but I don't necessarily agree with that notion. Yes, I can see that Mercury could have something to do with the lungs regulating breathing, but overall, that organ is one of the most important (besides the brain of course, but I am already using the brain for it's intellectual functions) that keeps us alive, which the Sun is responsible, symbolically, for life.

I have a Leo friend with Scoliosis and he has Mercury in Virgo as well. Interesting coincidence...

I don't think being dominant in a certain sign makes you generally have more trouble with the the body part associated with the zodiac sign than other people with it not/or as dominant.
Ex. Virgo dominant people will generally have more problems with their stomach and intestines than people with Virgo not being very influenced in their chart.

If anything, I believe the signs being dominant in someone's chart will have more control over those body parts since they rule them and are familiar with their functions... and thus, having "less" problems with them and even be possibly more efficient than people with the sign not being very influenced in their chart.

Although, I don't believe either one is valid. I see it more as a symbolic thing than literal thing (E.g. - Aries ruling the head because of determination and direction, Leo ruling the heart because of courage, valor and spirit, etc) as I only think Astrology has the do with the subconscious, psychological nature of the person.

One thing I wonder about are elbows. My elbows have funny, sharp points on them and they are kinda double jointed. Does Gemini and Mercury rule elbows?

I have a similar thing going on with one of my feet and the joint just below the big toe. I know what sign and planet rules feet.

The elbow problem causes such weakness in the joints, I could never do chin ups and can barely do push ups. My push ups aren't that great when I manage to do a few. I can't do the quick kind with nose close to the ground like most people and I cannot do chin ups at all. I have never done one chin up.

I have one finger that I can bend back and touch the top of my hand with it. My thumbs are double jointed also all on their own. I don't need my other hand to turn them into hooks. lol

The moon is afflicted in my chart.

My main problem in my elbows is they are really weak and they don't extend straight out. Instead, they extend at a slight angle. They don't twist all the around and stuff like that which is why I say they are only slightly double jointed.

Moon rules Cancer though. That Neptune opposition would explain why they are so weak. I always felt so out of place because I couldn't do chin ups like everyone else. I wondered what the heck was wrong with me.
