Mooltrikona is an exclusive Vedic Astrology dignity (still can be used in all types of Astrology) that is supposed to be the midway point between domicile and exalted.

For example, Mars rules Aries and Scorpio, but it's Mooltrikona will be Aries because it fully rules it, instead of co-ruling it like Scorpio. Essentially, Mooltrikona is the better domicile placement, or it's most natural placement. It is regarded as the best dignity in Vedic Astrology. Domicile being better than Exalted, and Mooltrikona being the best. However, there are exception with the Moon and Saturn, according to Vedic Astrology.

The Moon is both Mooltrikona and exalted in Taurus. I don't agree with this, as I think the Moon is Mooltrikona in Cancer, as it rules Cancer... and remember, domicile is better than exalted because it is more natural for the planet.

Vedic Astrology also says Saturn is Mooltrikona in it's co-ruling sign; Aquarius This is because Vedic Astrology doesn't use the outer planets; Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, because when Vedic Astrology was created, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were not discovered yet, and unlike Tropical Astrology, they decided to not integrate them within the system because they felt as if it would mess the system up and it's mechanisms; they felt that what was already established in Vedic Astrology was efficient and successful as it was, so they figured, why would they change it. So in Vedic Astrology, they use Saturn as Aquairus's full ruler, Mars as Scorpio's full ruler and Jupiter as Pisces's full ruler. I disagree with Saturn being Mooltrikona in Aquarius, too, because planets are supposed to be in Mooltrikona in their best signs, and the best signs for planets are the signs they rule, and Saturn fully rules Capricorn, so I believe Saturn is in Mooltrikona in Capricorn.

Do you think you would personally integrate the Mooltrikona dignity in Tropical Astrology as an extra dignity to use and label, or would you prefer not to sue it and keep it exclusive to Vedic Astrology?

Personally I wouldn't include it.

I think the outer planets are very valuable and the system seems to be working fine now.

^I never said that we can't use the Mooltrikona dignity for the outer planets or that the Mooltrikona dignity would be invalid for the outer planets (for example, Uranus is Mooltrikona in Aquarius), just if you would like to include the Mooltrikona dignity as an additional dignity in Tropical Astrology... along with Domicile, Detriment, Exalted and Debilitated. Mooltrikona being the best, as it is the better domicile placement.
