Is it true what they say? That this aspect gives the "too hot to handle" feeling? I've read that in the begining it could be amazing, intense, but it could be so volatile and it cannot survive time, I'd like to know real experiences with this aspect in synastry.

oh yes its volatile! my ex had mars conjunct moon natally so my mars was conjunct her moon AND mars it does give very strong passion i dated her for over 3 years and it was still intense BUT we knew how to push each others buttons like crazy i dont agree that it cant survive time some people like that intense energy in relationships i know i do, i say it depends on if you like a nice calm level headed relationship compared to one with occasional arguements and fights over something as simple as winning in a game of uno haha

One of my coworkers and I share this aspect. I also have natal Moon square Mars. I'm the Moon and he's the Mars (in Leo). So far, I like this aspect, although his Mars squares my Mars (in Scorpio), nothing bad has happened.

Also just want to add that he's gay so this is definitely only a platonic bond. He actually kind of sought me out first and seemed to like me quickly so much so that he invited me out with him and his friends soon after only 2 shifts together. He's also kinda touchy with me and loves hugs and cuddling but thats it. I don't know if it's the aspect, or Mars sign but he also seems very loyal/protective too, like he literally watches to make sure I'm ok whenever we go out and he makes sure I am safe.

This is still a new relationship so I'll just have to see how it goes. Maybe since it's a platonic and strictly non-romantic relationship it changes the dynamic?

Yeah at first I questioned his sexuality, but then after knowing him more (and his personal/intimate adventures lol), I know he 100% for sure doesn't swing that way, just touchy.

There have been a few threads on this. Most Moon people agree that it's platonic for them and not very sexual.
When the guy is Mars - it's sexual from his perspective (and his alone).

Supreme - You also had Mars conjunct Mars in synastry... so that's probably what made it a mutual sexual attraction.

Not going to lie - almost everyone, friend or lover, who has had their Mars conjunct my Moon has ended up being an insensitive ass to me. It's really been a bad experience every single time. Then again, the person's Mars has always been linked to my Chiron as well, so I'm not sure how that modifies anything. It's always been a messy, emotional or angry affair when this comes up for me in synastry. Initially we have good energy and 2/3 times, we are physically affectionate, but the other person eventually starts becoming more and more impatient and fault-finding in me and I toward them and it becomes 'too close for comfort' so to speak.

Mars-moon is the baby-making aspect

I pick up right away when I have it with someone

Preach it! For some reason any Moon-Mars conjunction I'm in never ends well.

I'm glad someone else agrees. In friendship it's been a particularly terrible aspect for me, especially with a member of the opposite sex. :-I

The unknown It's supposed to be a fertile aspect!

Barbie and I have it. I am Mars. We ALSO have Pluto square Mars - I am Pluto.

But we have SO much stuff it's nuts. I mean looking at midpoints, composite, composite to Natals... It's a lot!

We make it work. There's been some arguments here and there. It doesn't happen often and when they do we let go very quickly. We move on quickly and soon it's like nothing ever happened.
We are like best friends 99.9% of the time.

We both have moon square Mars natally so I suppose a conjunction in synastry really isn't all that hard to deal with.

Astrology is just energy Imo, as we like to refer to it here. You can defeat it or be defeated by it.

That is true it didnt end well for me either but when you think about it what do we expect having mars the most fiery planet in close conjunction to our moon our emotional well being the moon is just bound to get burned eventually right? Sometimes its worth the burn lol

I wonder if maybe having a natal Moon/Mars hard aspect makes it a little easier to handle in the long run? Since the native would already be familiar with the energy?

Agree. It depends on your natal Mars-Moon and your partner's if you both have it, but the trines and sextiles are kind of amazing.

This is true. Synastry factors in. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have the square double whammy (or at least by signs).

Any way, it's not the hard aspect like pluto where life feels consumed by it. In a relationship, you have to look at Synastry and Natal too.

With mars-moon alone, a relationship isn't guaranteed. But sexual/physical expressions are great. Kinda like pluto-moon with much less emotional manipulation.

The nature of the signs matter too. Ppl on Lindaland keep saying sun-mars or mars-mars (especially the square) are great. I personally don't think it's true for every cases. Especially if the natal indicate one person is very intuitive and the other is logical, of course one person is gonna get butt hurt.

And yes, DeepFreeze is also right about composite. I had decent synastry with my roommate but our composite was just bad. I wish I looked at it before deciding to roommate with her.

I had Moon trine Mars (I was Moon) and Mars conjunct Moon (I was Mars) with a guy friend. We flirted around for 6 years and finally he begged me to sleep with him before he moved. No. I was so disgusted and really only slightly liked him all that time. Otherwise I was pretty indifferent, but he WAS an easy target to argue with.

Wow, that is really gross! I can see the arguments, I really argued with this guy I could not stand (Moon square Mars).
