What makes someone not want to live/be in their own hometown?

I hate living in my hometown, I try and travel as much as possible to get away i just cannot stand my culture/heritage. I have Saturn in 4th, and moon inconjunct Saturn, do you think this is the cause?

Possibly, since the Moon rules the IC.

I can relate and I have Moon opp. Saturn (and they rule my IC/MC axis).

I also have Neptune/Uranus in the 9H and a Sag NN and I feel like I'm meant to travel and live abroad (technically I already live "abroad" since I'm an immigrant, but I know this isn't the end of my journey).

Here's me

Uranus 1h
Moon-IC
Moon square Uranus
Uranus square IC

^ I dislike my country, and to be honest I *do* feel alienated by my own culture and I don't have much experience with it.
The former though, I don't care about.

Oh, man. Anyone who knows me is aware that I hate my home town, and never want to come back. It is the worst place on earth to me. Literally. I can't think of a place that makes me more miserable and irritable! There is no diversity and next to nothing to do. I don't believe in the idea of tradition and I hate visiting people during the holidays there because 90% of my relatives are fake ******** . LOL...

Moon conjunct Chiron in H9
Moon trine Uranus in H2
IC ruler conjunct Uranus + opp. Mars in H8
Saturn in the 3rd, sq. ASC [bleak/anxious childhood]

Also, Moon-Saturn can certainly have a way of making you feel alienated from your hometown, like Moon-Uranus can.

I dislike my hometown as well but its because of the small town mentality. I enjoy the larger cities where everyone doesn't know everyone's business. I like the culture of my hometown as its a very old Ontario town/city. The buildings are beautiful and the city has a good community spirit.

Do you have any placements in 9th?

I think Saturn on the 4th house angle can contribute in making you view things from a pessimistic point of view.

I have Saturn on the 7th house angle and I don't enjoy visiting my cultural home. In fact, i feel very detached from my roots and culture- as a whole.

But I also have Mercury in 9th and so, I am quite restless and keen on expanding myself to other things and places.

I don;t like small-mindedness. And sometimes I think that that is the reason I don't like my culture. It is rigid, and small-minded.

Yep, I do have mars in the 9th and sag NN in the 3rd. Also Jupiter in 12th I generally feel connected with everything and love meeting people from other cultures because they help me stay sane, that not everyone is negative, they help me to see the bigger picture, where as my town is just full of negative, small minded nancies.
