How are you doing, WW111?  Some possible aspects/placements for difficult relationships between oneself and one's parents: 1. Moon-Chiron hard aspect
2. Moon-Saturn
3. Moon-Mars
4. Moon-Pluto
5. Mars in the 4th house
6. IC ruler-Mars hard aspect
7. Sun-Saturn
8. Sun-Neptune
9. Moon-Uranus hard aspect
10. Sun/Moon opp. IC Some aspects for a positive family relationship: 1. Moon-Jupiter
2. Moon-Venus
3. Venus in the 4th
4. Non-afflicted Moon in the 4th
5. Jupiter in the 4th + Sun-Jupiter
6. Venus conjunct IC ruler

You're welcome! With your dad, I'm leaning toward Sun-Saturn, Sun-Neptune, and 4H Pluto/Pluto IC. Possible issues with MC ruler like MC ruler sq. Saturn, Mars [for fights/arguments with male authority]. With Mom, I'm thinking Moon-Chiron, Moon-Saturn, IC ruler is afflicted by Saturn, Uranus, and/or Neptune. IP: Logged |

My daughter has Moon/Venus in Gemini in the 8th opposite Saturn.I tell her I love her all the time…she gets annoyed after a while.Even if it doesn’t mean a bad relationship with mom…Saturn is never fun.It scares me,I never want her to feel anything negative,ever. LolDo you think a parent can help soften the hard aspects in a natal chart or are those things we have to overcome ourselves? IP: Logged |

The Moon represents how you see your mom/maternal figure. Adverse aspects to the moon suggest the obstacles that you perceive to be obstructing you from receiving maternal care or love from that figure. Easy aspects however suggests that you are more inclined to see the figure as separate from you and therefore their own person (capable of mistakes)and not project any ideals on them. This helps in making a relationship more productive. The same can also be said with regards to the Sun- which represents the father/paternal figures. Synastry between the two of you will only exacerbate what is already there in your natal chart for good or ill. So a certain aspect to Venus with a person who gets along with their mother for instance, will be perceived very differently from someone who has the same aspect but does not get along with their mother. In the former,the mother could be seen as a strong motivating force for the person to achieve greatness. Whilst in the latter, the mother could be seen as somebody "cold", "distant" and "uncaring".
