How often do you feel envy towards other people? What kinds of things are you envious about? What in your chart explains it?

Feel like talking about all this?

I am rarely envious...but one thing I do sometimes envy is when other people have highly developed communication skills, and can talk about their emotions in a kind of uninhibited way.

Envy is supposedly the domain of Pluto, and I have 3H Pluto...so, perhaps it makes sense that I envy better communicators.

I also have a 4H Scorpio NN and envy people with better homes. Not fancier or bigger homes, necessarily. But homes that reflect their style in with refinement...again, communicating something about the person. I feel like I haven't attained my NN yet, in this respect.

My moon is in the 8H...actually not sure what that could mean, because I don't find myself envying other couples. Maybe I envy women who have mothers, especially mothers that they get along with. ...Yeah, a little bit of that.

Anyone else want to explore this?

It happens to me very seldom and mostly when I see a drawing I consider excellent. It's 70% admration and 30% envy. My skills are medicore and sometimes I wish I was better at it. I have Pluto in the 3rd house.

I find myself quite envious of people with strong work ethics, and people who are very successful.

Mainly, Capricorns, 10th house people, virgos and 6th house people.

I find people with these influences are super hard working and will do anything to reach their goals.

My sister has a stellium in her 6th and moon in her 10th, and she's a doctor. She works like a crazy person and is sooo successful. She has worked all over the world (volunteering in Africa, Asia, internships in Europe, etc.)

My cousin has virgo Moon and a stellium in the 6th, and she's a lawyer. She has had so many high-profile jobs/internships all over the world. She works so hard at everything she does. She took off a year to go back to school to do her Masters in Law, and she'll probably go for her PhD, too.

The guy I'm dating is the most hard working person I have ever met. He has Sun/Venus/Pluto conjunct his MC in SCorp, and Cap Ascendant and Moon. He is also a doctor, but has become 'bored' of it already (he's only 27! got admisssion really early) and is thinking about doing his MBA and opening his own business.

All three of these people do not know the word 'can't'. They put their heart and soul into their work, and achieve everything they put their minds to. It's really amazing. I'm literally in awe of each one of them, and I wish I could be more like them.

^ Wow!

Yeah I....kinda don't have that drive anymore. I guess I haven't found a "cause" that motivates me enough to spend every second working on it. I'm a 6H Cap sun.

When I was just about to graduate from college, a friend and I were sitting in a bar, and she asked me what I really wanted to do for a living. I was tipsy enough to tell the truth. "Honestly? My dream is to be an astrologer. " This was before I could even read a chart.

I think if I got paid to read charts, and had the skill to do it well, I could be a workaholic. If you call that "work."

@I'm so cappy~

Drawing.

Denial protects me from jealousy Unless someone is a prodigy, I tell myself that I could draw something just like that if I had enough time. What I lack in talent I make up for in dedication.

Are you ever going to show us your drawings, though?

I'm more competitive than envious. Very rarely do I feel truly envious. Usually I'm happy for other people. If they do something better than me or look better than me, I usually feel happy for them if they're good people all around...I strive to work on myself and build myself up so I can be successful and good looking, too. I'm inspired to work harder and do better by their example so I can be the best.

Like @I'm so cappy says, I typically feel admiration for those who are accomplished. At the most, 10-15% envy, but very rarely.

That's a good way of putting it. When someone is better than me at something - or everything- there's mostly admiration and "I'm happy for you" with a smidgen of envy.

Not as competitive as I used to be...for better or worse, I've let a lot of that go.

I don't really know how to define envy, except it's a bit of sickness? Similar to hunger, because it's based on lacking something.
