I have Mars opp Pluto in natal. I wouldn't say I'm unpopular (Venus in 1st; 1st house stellium) though.

Venus/Pluto takes the cake when it comes to magnetism, attractiveness and attention from the opposite sex especially.

That's cause Venus is more passive and lures others in. Pluto adds extra power to that.

While Mars rules action in general. It's not about attracting others as it is about taking action and reacting to events and people.

The two energies are different.

With Mars/Pluto the emphasis is on self-expression, assertiveness and identity.

With Venus/Pluto the emphasis is on attraction, love, relationships and social life.

Also, I think Venus/Pluto creates a sort of mysterious aura because Venus is (or can be) "hidden," and that can generate interest from others. A sort of, "ooh, what's behind that veil of indifference?" thing. The shy guy who gets attention from tons of females who want to seduce him and finally make him "open up" and make his heart beat and pour his affection and love on them. Hah!

Mars/Pluto is usually more direct and open in expression, unless Mars is "hidden," in which case it looks like the person has little power and can't assert themselves. It can also point to someone who seems sexless, a person completely out of touch with their desire nature (that includes their sexual drive) and who seems powerless in some way.
It's a bit of a either/or type of thing, often. They're either very dominant and assertive, or seemingly very out of touch with their instincts.
I guess the types that are more in touch with their instincts are more magnetic than those who aren't. But I've personally not known many people who can harness Mars/Pluto aspects (the hard ones) in a positive way (myself included).

To be honest, I don't think that either of these plays much of a role in terms of finding partners, as much as they do in how the relationship is experienced (by me, of course) and how I tend to interact with men that I date.

Recently, I can say I have made great strides opening up but still insist on not having a committed relationship but also demand having a fairy tale union. go figure...

Attaraction wise; I can say I am a sexual magnet. I am obsessed with beauty ( Venus 1st square Pluto ) but always felt ugly ( Venus opposite Saturn ). Even though Ihave always been capable of getting the best men in town, even though my friends have tried so hard to convince me that I am very attractive... to this day I could not manage to fix the perspective I have about my phsycical appearance.. Soon I will start having trs. Pluto conjunct Venus.. I know it will activate my venus/pluto square.. I see two possibilities hopefully whatever I will go through will help me to heal my relationship with my body or I will take extreme measures to look better which means plastic surgery and since pluto will be opposing saturn ( 7th ) at the same time, my life long friends will try to prevent it we are already discussing that might happen

I have Mars ( sag ) sextile Pluto ( libra ) tight orb... Depending on the house system used; mars is 11th or 12th... I am not sure how I experience this energy really. Due to having Mars in Sag, I can be quite optimistic about the actions that I take... and once determined I can move mountains but I am rarely determined... verryy rarely.. put the plame on my mars neptune conjunction...

I like/love sex that's for sure but never had an orgazm with a man. never surrender ! :P stupid me...

and yes I can be aggressive and very intimidating.. u would not dare to mess with me if you don't know me ( venus square pluto square ascendant ) but once you do my sun/mercury/venus sextile jupiter aspects will make you realise that I have a troubled mind with a lot of good intentions in it.
