It is personal stress making me overly sensitive to any bad thing happening in the news world lately, or is the US genuinely going through some crazy transits right now? I just have this weird feeling that something really bad is going to happen.IP: Logged |

I've heard that a lot of people have been feeling this impending sense of doom lately. Some think it will be an Ebola outbreak, others think terrorist attack or some type of declaration of war. I'm hoping it's none of the above and it's just the energies making people feel that way.

Yikes, let's hope not. I really don't think the ebola virus will amount to much, there is way too much fear mongering going on. Watch news from other countries for a more balanced report. I find American news *way* too over the top and sensational. As for the other concerns maybe its just all the turmoil in the world right now. Don't know if its going to be directed at the States though. IP: Logged |

And that's just one of the reasons I prefer getting news from outside America (such as the BBC)...even when it's about events in America which is ironically more informative as well as more professional, less of an editorial, and though it baffles me I've even seen them explain our constitution more accurately as well as why Americans tend to be divided over the issues. But yeah, over the top and often fear-based to an absurd degree describes a lot of American news very well. Though strangely it also tends to the more trivial rather than actual horrors of the world, and they often skip or downplay something that truly is frightening or disturbing to talk about celebrities, create tempest in teacups, or make mountains out of molehills (while ignoring the actual mountains). It's odd. IP: Logged |

I think its the 24hr news cycle causing them to find the most sensational stories to gain viewers. Even though I grew up right by the States I find the news really weird. Love Americans tho IP: Logged |

I can't put my finger on it, but I feel it too. ------------------ “Most people would rather be sheep than stand on their own with antlers on.” IP: Logged |

The Uranus-Pluto square is in effect until 2015. I'm expecting lots more to come! It's not only the US, it's the whole world. IP: Logged |

Hm, well if its the whole world I can speak as the neighbour above. I can't say I've felt or anyone I know has felt anything bad coming. Things are pretty quiet up here in the Great White North. Again, I'm thinking its the fear mongering of your news.IP: Logged |

What do you think will happen? Is it the Ferguson situation? That is on it's way to resolution. Do not become depressed over it. Right now there are various factions and elements in society of nihilism and despair. They want us all to feel like we are on the edge of a dangerous precipice about to be pushed off or something. Don't let them fill you with their gloom and doom. They will just drive you into depression and stress. None of us need that! The antidote is optimism and hope. IP: Logged |

I think I was just having a really rough day and being someone who never watches the news, it really struck me in a weird way. In general, I always have a hard time wrapping my brain around these situations, hence why politics and such don't interest me. Either I become really enraged and/or ungrounded.IP: Logged |

I am sure this town in Missouri will come to grips with their problems and work to help diminish them. Don't let it get you down. IP: Logged |
