I tend to walk fast and can get easily irritated at slow walkers and "obstacles" in my way, but not always. There are times when I'm actually very chill, but I often feel awkward when I walk too, like I'm in a rush and everyone can see it.Gem AC. Ps.

My ASC is Virgo, but I really walk very fast, too many people said that. My Aries ASC Bf walks slowly, he often asks me to slow down my speed..... I think ASC doesn't play a big role in this. My Sun and Venus is in Virgo in first House, but bf's Sun and Moon in Taurus in second House...I think that explaines.IP: Logged |

I walk with a slight limp like Captain Jack Sparrow but occasionally I seize the act and walk normal. When I walk this way, my head tends to sway side to side and I am sometimes teased about it.I'm a gemini ascendant with grotesquely large and uneven ears yet they work out nice for the overall structure of my face and are some what unoticeable. I wouldn't think so. People have complained my walk is too quiet, I've surprised people more than once. One even called me referred to me at times as "ninja." And I'm not even trying (nor am I cringing or anything like that, I used to be convinced they simply weren't paying attention rather than me walking softly). I would associate that more with Scorpio rather than Leo (asc). But then my sun is Libra on the Scorpio cusp (in a stellium) so perhaps my sun sign is involved (if astrology fits into it at all). And as for how people walk...I've noticed I can tell a lot about people by how they walk, it's like an accent, and sometimes I can even get a clue where someone is from (though I've also noticed I could tell what NEIGHBORHOOD someone came from by it as I was surprised when one's accent & walk didn't reveal to me where he was from). But more than that even subculture affects it. When I blend in, one of the things I do is check out how they walk and learn to imitate it so I don't seem like an outsider (to them subliminally). There's still room for individual touches (just as there are with accents) but overall I wouldn't look to astrology to explain a walk. IP: Logged |

Hahaha! I hope I don't walk like a galloping horse.. that would be a little weird! I don't walk very fast, I'm always telling people to slow down. A lot of people have said to me that I walk with very much confidence, some even said I walk like a model on the runway.. probably where they stumble on their sky high heels though! cuz I can be pretty clumsy too walking into walls and stuff! Edit: My Mars is in Libra conjunct my Chart Ruler Jupiter both in the 9th house. Mars squares all 3 of my 1st House Planets (Moon, Neptune & Uranus). IP: Logged |

Leo ASC I walk a lot and always have, even as a toddler. I remember wriggling out of people's arms when they tried to carry me, and hating to sit in a stroller. My physique reflects all the walking I've done, and when I'm walking, I'm focused on body-shaping through exercise: keeping a flat stomach, diminishing any excess on my hips and thighs, whittling myself down. ASC trine Venus. Since I have walked so much, I am really comfortable with my gait, closely in touch with how I'm moving, aware of what my body language is conveying or not conveying. So, if I want to walk "regally" and purposefully and make an impression with my posture, I can do that. It's a role that I feel comfortable with. It helps when dealing with people who are above me in station, and it throws people off if they've underestimated me. If someone feels threatening, I can just "dress" myself in a strong vibe. ASC sextile Pluto. Or I can slip away and disappear, ASC trine Neptune. Usually, though, I am more like PixieJane described...walking so quietly, people don't hear me or notice I'm there.

The other day we had a thread about this and Mars placements were also mentioned... Since Mars actually rules our 'body ego' (and is the natural ruler of the 1st house). Also, the ruler of the AC. Eh, it's getting complicated. IP: Logged |

Forgive me,but I associate movement with the 3rd house and not the Asc.When you are walking you have to make "ad hoc" instantaneous decisions; averting someone, crossing the streetlight, avoid certain demarcated areas, skipping this, jumping that, slowing your pace, speeding it up, turning around, leaping etc. It may seem very simple but its a very involving and mechanical task and, just like driving, it can feel like second nature- because you have been doing it for so long. So anything that involves quick decision-making and flexibility is to me,Mercury/3rd house/Gemini related. I would look at the 3rd house cusp, its respective ruler and house position it is in to describe how a person walks. I have 3rd house cusp in Cancer. My Moon is in Cancer and sometimes I have to stop myself from daydreaming whilst walking and concentrate on my direction. As such my movements are erratic, irrational and seem inconsistent; sometimes I walk really fast and sometime very slow. Either way however, it seems like I enjoy walking. It has a very therapeutic effect on me. I have a friend with 3rd house cusp in Aquarius with Mars there. He walks very fast and I struggle to keep up when walking with him. Its like he has an objective to achieve and will not let anything stand in his way. Another has his 3rd house cusp is in Sagittarius. He has Uranus there and hates walking. He would rather drive to anywhere- even if its a very short distance. When he does walk, however,he is always so alert about everything and anything around him. His walk is the same as mine; quite inconsistent, sometimes rushed and at other times very deliberate.

I wanted to add that this may have come from growing up in an alcoholic home for me and sometimes having to get at food or elsewhere without attracting the notice of the 'rents. Mom complained more than once about how I could be hiding and sneaking everywhere, it drove her nuts to think she was alone when she wasn't, or something was different (such as making a PB&J to eat and getting back to my room in 2 minutes and no one ever noticed, but evidence of the deed would startle Mom or Dad who hadn't been aware of my passage). It probably created a lifelong habit in me. Again, I don't cringe, but spending the bulk of my formative years learning to be a quiet mouse no doubt shaped me and how I walk today (without even thinking of it). IP: Logged |

Sorta.I "think" (not really sure, tbh, lol) I walk with my head and shoulders up (Leo Ascendant). I swing my arms a tad bit, opposed to not swinging them at all. So I don't think that has anything to do with correlating it with my Ascendant. It's just how it is, I guess. I mean, that kind of walk isn't really unique to people, so I can't really say that it has to do with the Ascendant, but I would think the Ascendant can show/manifest in the way someone walks. I also walk different in the house than I do outside or in public, so I think the Ascendant might be coming into play here... for me, at least. (I do a really weird type of walk in my house and I can't really explain it. It's also not the same every time). The Ascendant IS the outward expression of someone and how they want to appear or be perceived. And a certain walk is a good way to make an impression. IP: Logged |

Good question, Solar_Leo_Queen. Here is another one: Since the Ascendant is at an Aries point, would the Mars placement by Sign and House take a role, in your walk? As well as the way and what aspects the Ascendant receives and what is placed in the 1st. And where the Ascendant ruler is. Everyone's walk does have a unique signature. IP: Logged |

I walk with a slow, languid gait in medium strides but not much bounce because I don't want to walk in a sexual manner or draw attention to myself. Its also the laziest way for me to reign in clumsy tendencies without the concentration of graceful. If I'm in high heels I definitely put weight on the toe than the heel to contain any movement in a more business like manner than sexual. This does fit with most angles mentioned Third house being Capricorn Saturn in Leo (languid pace is a little bit cat like) conjunct mc Asc in Scorpio with Mars also in Leo IP: Logged |
