I heard it makes you have a big ego. I guess it's true because I have Sun Conjuct Mercury and I love talking a lot about myself... maybe a little too much.

But I heard it's bad if it's at 5 degrees or lower, mines at 8 degrees. Does that give you higher intelligence?

I have this placement probably in the worst (or best, depending on who you ask) place to have it, in Leo. It definitely makes the native value their own opinion more than that of others for the most part, which is healthy with moderation, but can become toxic when relied on too much. Stubbornness is a big problem with this placement and must be overcome. My sun (in scorpio) conjunct my mercury (in scorpio). Makes me a little more selfish than normal. But its suppose to make you more intelligent I heard?
