In other words, what makes a person very good at keeping their boyfriend/girlfriend or having a long-therm relationship? Some people just hang on with their love for life, or always stay in relationship for at least a couple of years(many years) Is it only synastry or don't you think it is also something in the natal chart? A combination of both. If you're looking for only one element, it's Saturn. The aspects Karka posted are a pretty solid example. IP: Logged |

When I see people in relationships that are difficult or past their sell by date I look for hard Saturn contacts or a preponderance of fixed signs. They just don't like to give up.example: Tori Spelling, she's a Taurus right? For starters T. Saturn is opposing her Sun sign so this shows a Karmic period in her life. She hasn't given up on her marriage even though it's in trouble. Her husband has more or less made a fool of her in the tabloids, cheating multiple times. She may be trying to save her marriage for the sake of her children but there will come a time when staying in a bad relationship will spill over and become toxic. My advise to her would be if she is determined to stay in this relationship, accept that he has a roving eye and that she's not satisfying him anymore and opt for a discreet open relationship. She should have had a clue, he was married when they hooked up so cheating on his spouse shouldn't come as a surprise. Women do stupid things for love Men do stupid things for sex. ------------------

I've had 3 (probably going on 4 now) back to back long term relationships (1/3/5 years) and I don't know if Saturn in synastry had anything to do with it but I have Venus trine Saturn natally and I hang on for dear life. I will exhaust it before I give up on it. Definitely not the type to up and leave or run at the first sign of trouble. Not the type to date around either. I pick a person and that's it!What other natal aspects could be responsible for this mentality? IP: Logged |

What is your placements? Do you have anything scorpio in your chart? I have a virgo sun and scorpio venus sextile saturn, but otherwise my moon in pisces is pretty afflicted…. but even then I've been in 3 long relationship 2/1/1 year… my current one has also lasted for more than a year now IP: Logged |

Venus/Saturn aspects, especially the conjunction, trine and sextile, barring other mitigating factors.I am pretty sure afflictions to Saturn have the opposite effect i.e giving up easily cause it seems to be too much trouble. Kinda like Uranus. I would perhaps add Pluto aspects for the "not giving up" part. IP: Logged |

Moon in Scorpio actually, in 3rd house but well-aspected I believe (trine Mercury & Jupiter, sextile ASC & Mars). I should also note I have a watery Grand Trine in my natal, plus Venus square Pluto! Joy. IP: Logged |
