Who do you think would be more obsessive/stalker-ish?
Cap mercury square Pluto @ 7 degrees or
Aries mercury opposite Pluto @ 7 degrees?

Hm...what a riddle!

IMO, the opposition is the aspect felt with the widest range, even wider than the conjunction - for example, an opp of 7 deg is likely to be felt stronger than a 7 deg. conjunction. Usually, an opposition cannot be ignored and it is felt up to 10 deg. I don't have definitive proof for that yet, but that's what I've noticed so far.

I think wide squares may be felt only during certain situations/periods, related to progressions and transits. They are not a permanent, definitory energy.
But it all depends on the rest of the chart.

The Aries Mercury opposed by Pluto.

1) The orb would be felt more in the opposition
2) Aries is more prone to that kind of thing (than Capricorn), imo

I've Aries mercury opp Pluto exact. I'm very obsessive over ideas, projects and people too but whether stalkerish .. Potentially yes. I'd love to be a private detective. But on a personal level I'd be so ashamed to get caught and so paranoid it would be noticed (also lazy) that I'd suppress that impulse as much as I had it in most cases
