I don't have any funny stories per se but I love when people challenge me and just to show them how it can actually be valid I will read them an explanation of an aspect in their natal chart I know is quite prominent and they go "wow, that actually makes a lot of sense."

Then I don't look so crazy after all

Lol whoever that Virgo is, she seems strange. That's a bit if overreaction she did.

I bet her mercury wasn't in Virgo.

Moon in scorpios are very insecure. I have a cousin with that, and she's really suspicious and insecure and keeps distance with everyone even tho her penetrating deep eyes inspects everyone.

Capricorn ascendant are always focused on their duties, are pessimistic and dull and boring tbh. Not all of them course.

Just a new fact about herself affected her so greatly, it's not surprising with moon in Scorpio. They remember every detail and have a sharp memory, things mean a lot to them. They are sad people. They're just misunderstood. Moon is in it's fall there.

I was just new to chart astrology (still am relatively) but also dipping my toe into asteroids.

Around the same time was socialising with two mutual friends and we got along well but quite often when we got together drinking it always ended up with some kind of blow up and row - even if it wasn't between us, something of the nature occurred whilst we were together.

Was looking at their charts to learn to read them when I came across name asteroids which seemed really to resonate in my chart. When I played around with this one friends chart (who did tend to seem to want to cause some kind of situation) I saw that my name and this others girls name were conjunct her mars either side but close to exact. Even though I don't know if that's an astro logically correct interpretation it did make me laugh because of the specificity of the names and because it really didn't occur when there was just two of us together.

I studied sun signs and birthdays extensively before I could ever read a chart.

Then in my early 20's I went through a religious phase. Astrology was considered witchcraft, abomination, all that. I was telling a young coworker that I could never overcome astrological thinking because sometimes, it's too obvious when a person is born. So it was something I struggled with (and ultimately, this was one of the main reasons I quit being religious...but that happened later.)

My coworker was laughing at me a bit, incredulous that I had said I could tell when people were born. "So, can you guess when MY birthday is?" he asked.

I said, "Early to mid May."

Well I was right, and he about fell off his chair astonished and started almost yelling "How'd you do that? How did you know???"

I told him it was hard to explain but the bottom line is that astrology is real.

Seriously I think that changed his life.

A Sag friend and I used to discuss astrology on a regular basis. Every time I mentioned something negative about Leo placements, she would protest very strongly: “This can’t be true. My friend X is a Leo Sun and she’s nothing like that at all.” This friend of hers, who lived in another city and who I’d never met, seemed to be a truly miraculous human being: According to the Sag, she had all the positive Leo traits – she was a gifted actress and model, extremely likeable, very generous – but none of the negatives. On the contrary, she was described to me as totally selfless, extremely unassuming, thoughtful, and forgiving. Not self-centered or pompous at all. I was rather curious to meet her.

One day, my Sag friend decided to bring her over to see me. The moment she entered my door I sensed something was off. This girl, a Leo sun? She was so shy she almost couldn’t look me in the eyes, and it seemed near impossible to get any sort of conversation out of her. She let her head and shoulders hang, almost crawled into her seat, and seemed to feel very awkward the entire time. Trying to break the ice with some small talk (since Leos typically enjoy talking about their success), I asked her, “So, I hear you are an actress? That’s awesome!” She sank a little deeper into her chair and mumbled: “Umm....no...not a real actress.” She was still studying at one of the best drama schools at that time, you see, but had already played parts in several big productions and worked with a famous director as I knew from the Sag. But, not a real actress, according to her….oh well. The atmosphere grew really weird. Then, my Sag friend suddenly remarked that the Leo would be interested in having her horoscope read, would I please cast her chart right now? When I heard that her birthday was on a cusp day, something started to click. And sure enough: It turned out she was born on a day the Sun changed signs from Leo to Virgo, and her birth time, which she confirmed in a phone call with her mother, made it clear she was in fact a Virgo Sun. She did have Venus in Leo though. Her AC was Capricorn, the Moon in Scorpio. To me this made a whole lot more sense. However, the most bizarre part came when I broke the news to her: She actually had a nervous breakdown. “Oh my god, oh my god, how terrible! How can I EVER be an actress if I’m not even a LEO? Oh my god, I think I’m going to be sick...” Privately I thought that this reaction confirmed the true Sun sign more than anything but I kept that to myself. I did try to console her though by pointing out that many great actors and actresses were Virgo suns, and that she did have a Leo Venus, but these things didn’t make her feel any better, unfortunately.

Months later my Sag friend told me that she had declined an invitation to come see me again with the words, “I’m never going to THAT place again! Everytime I do it my life is turned upside down.”

So, what are your stories?

Your way of relating a story really kept me glued to my seat: I swear it was like you were about to reveal the 2nd coming of Jesus.

Its really rare for me to follow someone's thread from beginning to end without feeling like their thoughts were all over the place, punctuation errors and inappropriate word usage etc.

But i read yours from beginning to end and enjoyed myself .Have you considered being a writer? And I am serious

Now back to your story.

I think that a lot of people do not know about "cusp" dates and assume that the Sun movement is fixed-year in and year out.

Sometimes on a specific year you find the Sun "leaves" a sign earlier than the date envisaged on the newspaper or horoscope site. But there are rare disclaimers printed in such mediums to inform the reader. So they go on believing that they are one sign-when they are actually another.

I have had people be very discouraged when I tell them that their Sun sign is actually not what they originally thought. Some like the girl mentioned, were very crushed.

My mother, for instance, believed I was a Capricorn and it was only in my interest in astrology that I discovered that I was born the day before the Sun changed to Capricorn.

Another friend of mine believed that he was Cancer Sun. But I challenged him on this as he was very intellectual, very flighty and changeable.

Upon further investigation,it transpired that it was his Moon that was in Cancer and his Sun was actually in late Gemini.

He was so disappointed in this finding. Even though i told him of his moon position being in Cancer,he identified with his Sun position so strongly-it was like I "robbed" him of his identity.

More recently, a friend of mine was going through a crisis where her favorite neighborhood cat died and her home lease was terminated in one day. She humors my interest in astrology and asked what the heck was going on??

Turns out her progressed sun was moving from 29 degrees to 0 degrees of the next sign that day. She literally had to move on from where she was.

Actually this does remind me of so many older Pisces men that I know.

They are not cold to their children directly, but they will bluntly tell you their children's faults without sugar-coating anything.

So I said: "Well, many Pisces people have a curious aversion against any form of surveillance, even if it is done by state organs." He went totally silent for a minute and then said, "Umm... well...the thing is, I actually do hate surveillance. I don't know why, but everytime I see a policeman in the street I almost want to kick him."

Have you ever heard of the 60's TV show The Prisoner? It was basically a critique of the surveillance state. The star of the show, who wrote a few episodes and decided much of the content, was a Pisces.

Might just be a Pisces man thing, since I'm pretty sure my Pisces girl friends couldn't care less.
