It is inspired from a dream I had.I was thinking of a school where like Hogwarts, there will be four houses, each for the elements. Fire, Earth, Air & Water. Everyone would be sorted into the houses according the the element of their sun sign. Or, if they have a more dominant sign than their sun; of that element. Like at hogwarts, they sort students by their personality, in this school it is not much different, it it? That would be so cool! It is my ultimate dream. I want a school like that so bad! There we teach kids philosophy, occult, astrology and more stuff. And to the older students, magic & alchemy. Omg omg omg omg omg omg Also, it would be a great school to do experiments! Omg omg omg omg omg omg It's going to be like an actual hogwarts, just a little more realistic! qwertyuiopasghjklzxcbnm I have no words to express my excitement! I had such a beautiful dream one night. There will be competition between houses, games and fun stuff like that! I really want to make a school like the that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ Mia x IP: Logged |

I love it! I have a similar idea, about a music festival that would be divided into Fire, Air, Earth and Water areas, each with a stage which would represent its element. And musicians would be shown to different stages according to their Sun sign or predominant elements in their charts. I'd even have four different camps for festival goers, with various types of food, again, matching every element. There would be a pool in the water camp, bonfires in the fiery one, paragliding in the air camp, money-related things in the earth's section and so on. IP: Logged |

What kind of games and competitions? If this is like a religious school (only occult rather than traditional religious) then how would you convince others that your school would prepare kids for the modern world? (Or what would you cynically exploit about parents to have them send kids to your school?) Or is this more of a summer camp? In the latter case, what happens when the elements are "out of balance" (for example, 20 water signs, 10 air, 5 fire, 5 earth)? How would you try to form your faculty? Any "witch doctors" for miscast (or unethical) spells, or even teen poltergeists (steeping adolescents into the occult is begging for this)? Any dress codes and the like? How would you protect your school from people (including crazies, perhaps attracted to the occult vibes) who might try to do it (and those within) harm? And would spells be cast against reporters who didn't show your school in a positive light? IP: Logged |

I really like this... interesting idea!So I'm a Virgo Sun, but I am Libra dominant, so will I go in the Earth House, or Air House? Or is there a house for each sign, too? Or there only 4 houses for the 4 elements? Or even houses upon a certain dominant planet like Venusain house, Mercurian house, etc? If so, since people have numerous dominant planets in their chart, then the person would live in their dominant planet house, but have access to visit their other dominant planet's houses for activities or something in that nature. It would be really cool if you were to elaborate on this and make it into a story, but not exactly how Harry Potter is, but rather a more original plot and story. As this story could focus more on the life of the students there and their relations with each other and with school, rather than necessarily battling evil people to save the world or whatever happened in Harry Potter (I'm not really familiar with it, as I only watched the first movies, never read the books or really remember the story, tbh). Oh, and Happy Birthday, Mia! IP: Logged |

That's cool! Except I think that the money related things is only for Taurus. For the earth it could be something to do with gardening/soil. Btw, the activities in my school has nothing nothing to do with making foods/activities based on the elements. It's only their sorting and their activities will require the same stuff like race, finding a lost object, making the best food competition or stuff like that. It will be like hogwarts. But I like your idea. ------------------ Mia x IP: Logged |

I never really considered this seriously but Let's do it now. I do not want it to be religious. And my school would also prepare kids for modern world, but we won't teach the usual (can I use the word muggle?) subjects like math, science and stuff that strongly and seriously perhaps except English and I would include Latin too. The reason why in the first place this school would be so small is because not many parents would send them there. But those who will, they would probably already know what it's all about and when they'll see how the school is they will most probably like it and think it's safe. There will be a lot of fun activities too. Like competitions between the houses. But they will not be mean kind of conpetitions, they will be for fun and motivation. For example, one day it's air sign VS. Water signs. They will play a game where they will have to find a way to reach a specific place on a hill using strategy and the first group to find the hidden object first will win. Games of this sort. There will be dress codes for sure. They will always have to wear a coloured badge representing their group. Red for fire, blue for water, brown for earth and turquoise for air I think. They school emblem on the badge will be there too. Every child's document will also have their birth chart in it and kept secretly in the office so that students don't sneak in and read anyone's birth chart and predict negative things, you know. There will be rules of course, and strict ones for sure since we are meddling with dangerous things. The school will be well protected, with charms like those mentioned in the picatrix. The school will be open minded and we will not only learn, but experiment, make theories, etc. We will always keep the negative spells or potions away from children. And away from everyone. To do bad things, a person would first need the ingredients, so the ingredients would be kept securely in a hidden place. Everyone will need a protection thing. (It could be an amulet, talisman, etc). It will be given to each student as a welcome gift when they admit the school. We will try to do everything securely. We will not only learn occult, but philosophy, why things are happening right now in the world the way they are, the occult meanings behind media, etc. as children grow up learning the basics of things, they can then choose which option to go into. It could be astrology, occult, magic, philosophy, etc. they could choose 3 out of these maybe. We will teach them good things. Encourage them good things and do a lot of activities. We will keep them in touch with the real world as well, and tell then how to deal with it. We will keep a positive environment. ------------------ Mia x IP: Logged |

Thanks for liking my idea! Yes, I prefer it to be only 4 houses since otherwise if we sort people into more things, which of course everyone has, it would be too complicated and unnecessary. We will leave the planets and signs that are dominant. After all, if we sort people too much there might be discrimination and people won't blend with others which is an important part to grow; to get along with different people and learn from them. For you, we'll have to check your chart. You sound more like an air sign to me, since you have grace and politeness in your words unlike a typical Virgo who is too direct sometimes and harsh. I have dominant air sign too I think, since I have moon and Venus in libra. But if there is confusion in this, we will only go with the person's sun sign because no matter what dominant sign it is, the sun sign is always prominent and also the ascendant must be taken into account. It is is almost as important as the sun sign. I would really like to make it into a story! I had a dream about it and it was so cool. I will make a character and by her point of view make the story perhaps and her experience in school. And thanks! My birthday's tomorrow but thank you very much! xx ------------------ Mia x IP: Logged |

Yeah, that makes sense, as it will complicate things too much. And then the effects of that like discrimination and stuff. But then it wouldn't be as interesting if it didn't have discrimination amongst each other with signs, elements, planets, etc. At least in my opinion anyways (I mean it's fiction and just a story... no harm in finding something that isn't real interesting. As long as you end it with a positive theme for the readers to learn, so that if they're indeed influenced by the story, it be will be a positive influence, rather than a negative one). It would be more realistic to how a lot people who are into Astrology are. Especially the beginners who harshly and ignorantly discriminate and generalize signs (E.g. Astrology students, like the people in your school). I mean, if it happens in real life with other things, it will only make sense that it will happen there, but this time, it's about astrological discrimination. But yeah. There will be people (such as the protagonist or main character(s)) who are above discrimination, unlike some of the people in that school. I mean, the majority of people won't be discriminating, but some people will, and those will be enemies or people that the main character needs to change for the greater good. People will indeed be working together still, yes, but not everyone agrees with that notion, as some are loners, jerks, etc (of course which one they fall under will have to make sense according to their chart and background). That's just reality. It can't be perfect, or the story's structure will be too predictable and simple. I'm not saying what you're saying about there being no discrimination in the school/story is bad, but ultimately, a good story (fiction, that is) ~ (and in my opinion) has a lot of valuable themes to get out of it, and the themes should be something that wasn't easy, but rather something that was needed to be worked upon with the characters in the story (and a story's theme is usually realized near the end or the climax) and it's up to you how you let it unfold for the reader to discover, interpret and reflect upon those themes in their own way. What I meant by that is, if there is discrimination, people who read the book (like people who are already into Astrology, and people who have an interest in the book, or even people who want to criticize the book because they think Astrology is bs and want to see how the author's story is) will prefer the complexity of psychological nature of each personality of a character in the story. This is what makes Astrology so interesting. And yeah, the Sun will be the most important, along with the Ascendant. But I also think that you should consider the Moon sign and Mercury sign as playing an important role with the characters in the story, no? Of course it's up to you. I just wanted to share my opinions on it. But either way, I really do like this idea, and would be interested with whatever you decide to do with it (if you decide to continue this and make it into a story) in the future And cool. How will the main character's chart look? Will her's be like your chart? (the author). And thank you! I am air dominant (but also earth dominant), so that's probably why I seem more like an air sign than just an earthy Virgo. I would say that I'm like an airy Virgo (which I technically am anyway, haha). And oh, sorry, I thought your birthday was today. But yeah, you're welcome xx IP: Logged | |
