It's because I always do the opposite of any situation.

For example, this morning we were trying to find files that were really important and they were missing. So my friend got into panic but I felt really happy and I was giggling.

When it's tense and stressful situations like that, I become happy and carefree.

I said "At least we're still alive" and I was doing the macarena in celebration.

But when everyone is happy, and I'm at a party or something and see people enjoying themselves, I feel really depressed.

I become serious and sad. I become nostalgic remembering my own good times from the past and I don't trust people anymore.

When it is a serious situation and everyone is serious and quiet, I become the joker.

I start giggling and laughing, I can't help myself. I do stupid stuff.

But when everyone is immature and happy, I feel uncomfortable and fearful. I don't mix with them. I feel vulnerable.

Is that normal?

Can anyone relate?

I think I am a gargoyle.

Btw, what my question has to do with astrology:

I think I am a devil. Because a devil does the opposite of what others do. They rebel.

But I could also be an emotional hipster.

I was wondering if this had anything to do with my Saturn in the first house or Uranus is Aquarius.

Love, Mia. x

I think you feel that way when someone is in a bad situation because you subconsciously feel happy that you aren't in the predicament that they're in.

Astrologically, I think being that way could have something to do with an influence from the combination of Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter energies fusing with each other, and the influence that it bestows upon aspecting your Moon in some way.

It can also have to do with the fact that you're subconsciously trying to make the situation more uplifting; which is why I said Jupiter has something to do with it as well.

I admit, I'm a bit like this, and I have the Moon quincunx Pluto and square Saturn.

As for feeling sad/depressed when everyone else is happy is most likely your Saturn in the 1st House giving you a pessimistic feeling of expression (after all, it's in the 1st House of appearance and self-acknowledgement) to the people around you when they're having fun and enjoying yourself. And like you said, you remember the good times of when you enjoyed yourself. It probably has to do with Moon-Saturn aspects as well. (not sure you have that, but with Saturn in the 1st House, it can also manifest this way, I believe).

So I wouldn't say the first thing is normal, but I also won't go as far to say that it's particularly very abnormal. And the second thing is pretty normal (not very, but mostly normal, in my opinion) because people like to be in the situation that the other person is in because they are having fun, so they are a bit envious of the other person who's having fun. Some are worse than others with this (more on the abnormal side), while some feel happy for the other person... but for the most part, the person that isn't having fun and watching is at least a bit saddened that it isn't them enjoying themselves in their spot (normal).

This happens a lot to those on the psychopathic spectrum. Pop culture has made us all out to be monsters and maniacs, but the truth is much more grey.

Do you empathise with others, Mia?

There's a difference between cognitive and affective empathy. 'True' empathy, as we know it to be, is affective. Cognitive is the analytical kind which is decided upon rather than organic in nature.

I don't think I'm a psychopath. I can empathize with people but only if I'm able to truly understand their situation/problem and I can usually feel/sense it from others rather than hearing their stories.

Sometimes I can be too sensitive to other's feeling/situation and I can feel second hand embarrassment very easily. It makes me feel bad so I try to avoid/stay away from those people if I can't help them. Because their feelings go in me and become my feelings. I don't always like it and I don't intentionally want to receive other people's energy but I can't help it.

I have Pisces ascendant conjunct south node.

This happens to me, too. Its like I'm in their seat at that moment. Quite intense.

I'm not quite sure where I saw it, but I remember you stating in a thread that you had Moon in Libra opposite Saturn..? That could be a source: so when you are placed in a tense/stressful situation, the burden of your Moon/Saturn is relieved and the naturally Venusian nature of your moon can clearly express itself- hence the jokes, the pleasantry, etc. However, when that's not the case, or when you are placed in a 'normal' situation, the Moon/Saturn highlights itself.
