Good morning everyone. Mars synastry is interesting to me.

I have been around people who have mars square my mars. It is a hard aspect for people involved (in my opinion) but what about the opposition?

My sister in law has a new sister in law in her life. My SIL is a Taurus mars at 1 degree and her new SIL has mars in Scorpio at 2 degrees. My SIL says she doesn't like her new SIL. Does the opposition create tension like the square. Everything else looks great between their charts. Lots of trines.

When this aspect isn't in a sexual relationship will it always create conflict? I have never seen or been friends with a person who has their mars opposite or square my mars. Is this just me? Does this happen between everyone?

What are everyone's thoughts? Is mars opposite mars easier to deal with than the square?

Do the signs count. I would that taurus/Scorpio would be harder because they are strong placements.

Actually I tend to dislike people (well, when I say people I'm just thinking about the guys I dated) with my same Mars sign, than the ones with opposite.

I have Mars in Gemini at 16.5 degrees in the 12th house. I tend to attract and get along with Mars in Scorpio, or Mars in Sagittarius. My friend is an Aquarius and his Mars is in Sag. We ARGUE like brother and sister but there's no dislike between us. We're strangely alike too.

I liked two guys with Mars in Gemini and they both ****** me off pretty easily. Especially the one where my Mars ended up in his 7th house and his Mars must've been on my ASC. WHOA! I wanted to argue and win and not stop until he knew who was boss, LMAO!

I think it would depend if the Taurus Mars SIL has certain "Martial" placements i.e Scorpio/Aries in the chart.

If not, this Mars in Scorpio energy could be very foreign and its strongly martial/ emotional nature very difficult to decipher.

Does the Scorpio Mars SIL have any "Venusian" placements? i.e Libra/Taurus?

Wow, our Mars' are conjunct by 1 degree! Mine's in the 12th too. That's so funny. And what's even funnier is that a guy I just started seeing is an Aqua Sun with Mars in Sag. I'd say him and I are oddly alike too.

LOL my new roommate and I have Mars opposite Mars in Scorpio (me)/Taurus (her) too!

So far we're "ok" but not really close although we're still getting to know each other. She's a mega Taurus too with Sun/Mercury/Mars and possibly Moon in Taurus. I'm also kind of Libran in a way (Libra is my dominant sign).

I'll update as things go along lol.

Oh, forgot to add:
I actually attract ALOT of Leo Mars in my life whether its just friends/dating/etc., sometimes it makes a square aspect to my Mars (and also conjunct my Moon in Leo) but usually it seems they have their Mars in a later degree than mine. I also have natal Mars in 5th so that may also be why I don't seem to mind this energy. But overall, I get along well with Leo Mars peeps.

And my mom is an Aquarius Mars too, although her Mars is too late a degree to aspect mine I still haven't really noticed any problems with them being square by sign.

If you have a strong mars (scorpio, cap, aries) , it's difficult to like the opp mars, especially as a female.

I would never date a cancer mars guy... Gonna drive me nuts

I mean take Brad Pitt -a man mind you. He got married to Jen, a scorp mars and now he's married to Angelina Jolie, an aries mars. Mars is the drive. Two people without compatible drives give unbalanced relationship.

It's a little bit different for venus signs because weak venus like Scorp can open up with exalted venus Pisces (same goes for Taurus and Virgo venuses). I can't imagine me being like let's climb up that hill and a cancer mars just be passive aggressive or avoidance.

But Aqua and Leo mars or Sag and Gem might work... I think strong mars just can't deal with a weak one. I can't stand libra mars either...Taurus is kinda ok but many cap mars find taurus mars lazy

BrAngie and then this "But Aqua and Leo mars or Sag and Gem might work..." all work because their Mars' are all in the same element. Cardinal / Fixed / Mutable. Dunno if that was your point or not... it would make sense Fixed Mars wouldn't work with Cardinal Mars, omg! Disaster.

I have Sag mars conjunct Uranus...

I don't think I've ever met a Gemini mars I didn't like, but a Gemini mars would also fall into my 11h which is one of my secondary relationship houses and those who have it opp my mars also have it opp my Uranus, my 7/8h ruler.

Maybe the new SIL activates a house/house ruler she isnt comfortable with?

I have mars in Scorpio and there's a person who has Mars in Taurus, opposing my mars by 2 degrees. There's a lot of sexual attraction. I'm not used to being touched so softly and it creates butterflies in my stomach when he does that. His way of expressing his mars is really soft and delicate and it's like too much for me and it makes me giggle and the way he takes his time.

My mars being in its own house makes me impatient but it makes it more intense for me when he does that taking his time.

Im talking about the drive, not being physical. I've met plenty of cancer mars who are physically stronger than me. But if faced with a challenge in life, cancer mars tend to avoid and need to talk it out with a close associate before dealing with the problem.

I am fine with cancer mars and attract plenty of them. But I don't think I want to live with them in the long run. My last 2 roommates have cancer mars. My current house mates also have cancer mars, so does her boyfriend..., so maybe I just had too large a dose of y'all

I think it's better than the square. Oppositions attract, but it could also be too much if it creates a constant conflict, and especially when it involves sex. Sex is just better if you feel safe around the person, if you feel their style is completely the opposite of your own, you could either get very tired of it, or begin to like it, depending on what it is I suppose.

But if it is an aspect below 1 degree, my guess is that on the long run you would at least need some nice aspect from moon to mars, or venus to mars to kind of balance it.

My oldest daughter has Mars in Cancer opposite my Mars in Capricorn - but it's a complicated synastry cause her four Cancer planets set up my Cardinal T square. Her Cancer planets fill the hollow leg of the T square.

Sometimes, it's like cat and dogs. Very emotional.

My neighbor has Mars in Cancer and seems to get hurt and pouty if I don't do something for her and attempts a guilt trip etc......she has Sun and three other planets in Leo.....Her pride gets easily hurt and then she is emotional and is slightly vindictive.
