So if Mars in the 12th causes me to hold back and become inhibited, if I force myself to be outgoing and social (it's in Gemini so I assume that's my "issue" right?) will that eventually go away?IP: Logged |

hey, I am a fellow mars in 12th!although mine is in Leo. I wish I had an answer for you, but honestly i think ppl blow the negative sides of 12th house planets ( esp mars) out of proportion. from my own experience, I think that even tho you may FEEL inhibited, others might not see you as such. For me my 12th house mars is like something i am searching for , yet is in front of my face. its as if Im oblivious to my Mars yet ppl pick up on it. An example- I consider myself modest, maybe even have low self esteem at times. Yet, many ppl think I give off a haughty vibe when they first meet me! Even my neighbor commented that my walk is very "proud" yet im totally oblivious to this. For me, I see myself hunched over scuffling along hating life. LOL. People also always guess that I am a Leo which I find funny. i think the only real negative issue is anger...I, like many other 12th house mars have a delayed response to anger. But when it comes its always at the most awkward time. This is what I wish I could conquer. IP: Logged |

So much 🙌 to what you just said. You took the words right out of my.south, about everything! I feel like I have no energy that attracts others and no control in going after what I want and yet allll these people throughout my life see me as having it together and like I should be going places and they see me doing really big things with my life. Its so crazy. How do we escape and get on the same page as everyone else about ourselves?IP: Logged |

Has mars progressed out of the 12th house yet? That's when things should change for the better..IP: Logged |

Idk but I have it there natally too, or did you already know that? Also randomly wondered if this placement is responsible for matching someone else's energy? Like mimicking what they feel but consciously. IP: Logged |

It really is the craziest thing isnt it? I do feel the 12th house planets are almost like the "air" around us, or "ether" so subtle yet our very life force! For now, as we do not have the answer...i guess we can consider our 12th house placements a "gift" to others, LOL IP: Logged |

This.. Ive got mars in 12th at 29 degrees Virgo. Women usually expect me to be very dominating and sometimes really rough in bed. While I prefer the exact opposite. I can surely play it that way, sometimes really good, ask lady with Neptune squaring my mars (that one almost made me afraid of myself ) It could be related to 1st house pluto on my ascendant also idk... I do think that it gets better with age but I'm sure it will affect us through out life. I've read that we are supposed to serve others in this life and I'll think I'm heading down that path. I'm just waiting for lady "I do not wanna be your slave" to show up...

I feel like 12th house planets are in our peripheral vision. We can never totally focus on them and observe them dead-on. We're sometimes mystified and confused about their qualities. Of course, they are always present, and their energies ARE expressed, but sometimes we can internalize them or even try to hide them purposely. Others, especially those with planets in our 12th in synastry or those who have intuitive capabilities to any extent, can usually see our 12th house energy and planet[s] there dead-on. It can be frustrating, and I know what you mean. My Pluto is in the 12th. I feel powerless more often than not, always struggling to get stronger physiologically and in other ways. Yet people have commented on my strong, even aggressive energy. I tend to break down in private and I hate being vulnerable to others...I worry that others will think I am weak. Yet they never seem to think that. Perhaps our 12th house planets really represent our insecurities. They're not 'bad' planets, they just need some encouragement and healthy fostering. IP: Logged |

I agree with this too, especially about the intuitive people. I read an article (or maybe a thread here?) where someone mentioned you have to have your antennae out for Mars in the 12th house, or Planet in the 12th house people otherwise all that hidden, inner-world stuff will go unnoticed. Definitely not for average folk I don't think. IP: Logged |

I definitely agree this placement creates a tendency to express anger at the wrong moments. I think it also saps energy out of the Mars. I have periods of low energy mentally and physically despite having a very strong and ambitious chart. Doesn't help that my Mars is the planet receiving all the negative aspects in my chartIP: Logged |
