Yup, I think so. I have a Gemini Moon in the 12th house, and when I think about it I feel like sometimes my emotions (if I even know what they truly are or where they are coming from) are Piscean like, or just plain old 'watery', rather than how a Gem Moon is expected to show emotion. I do of course identify with Gemini energy, I have Mars in Gem too, but also in the 12th. But my emotions are definitely stronger to me, and I'm a lot more emotional than I may let on.

I don't think so.

I use the whole house system and so the cusp energy of the house defines your attitude/behaviour pertaining to the issues of that house.

So,to quote some of the responses.

Moon in Taurus in 5th-using the whole house system- is the 5th house cusp in Taurus.

Taurus is steady, likes security, sensual, is sensitive to aesthetics, pragmatic and conventional energy.

When Taurus is on the 5th house cusp (children, recreation and love affairs)this energy is endowed in matters relating to these affairs.

So the individual may like the idea of having children/being surrounded by children as it makes them feel(Moon)very secure (Taurus).

They may also love recreational activities that are centered in the creation of beauty(Taurus) i.e visiting an art gallery, taking part in a pottery class, taking up painting, bead work and crafts etc.

These activities make them feel(Moon) secure(Taurus).

For the 2nd individual who has both their Moon and Mars in Gemini, there is a lot of nervous energy, a lot of talking and a very busy mind.

The 12th house cusp is Gemini and so this means that when it comes to matters of spiritual awareness, spiritual mind, privacy etc The mind is involved in evaluating, analyzing, talking about and articulating the maters of this house.

So,it would make sense to say that the individual is drawn to spiritual avenues(12th) that have a strong intellectual bent(Gemini)-rather than "belief" alone.

It is also safe to assume that the private life of the person(12th) is likely to be busy(Gemini)or filled with lots of activity-either inside one's head or their immediate environment.

Give this person a task of having to figure out some complex spiritual matter that is abstract in nature and they will waste no time in not only getting to the crux of it (Mars)but also explaining it very well(Gemini)

The individual is more likely to get the "feeling" of what it is all about(Moon)and find the right words to articulate to others so they also understand(Gemini).

No.Lets say that we have two people; Ayanda and Sanele.

Both Ayanda and Sanele love the theater(5th house activity). Infact, since their Moons are on the 5th house cusp respectively, recreational activities in general go a long way in creating their emotional well-being.

But there is a difference.

Ayanda, who has Moon in Leo 5th house cusp, really likes to get involved in productions.

She auditions actors for roles,is involved in scriptwriting and even directs plays. She is an avid thespian at heart.

She exercises a great deal of leadership in this area of life and she feels very much the "center" of attention when the curtain goes up and all her creative work is all there for people to see.

She adores the laughter and the applause from the audience because that is the time that she feels that her wit and the brilliance of her script is being appreciated.

Sanele however likes to come to see the shows. She has Moon on the 5th house cusp of Taurus.

She has a large appreciation of the ambiance of the plays and to her, it brings back a lot of memories as to when she and her father used to come to the theater together.

She loves the lights, the costumes, the sound effects, the laughter of the crowd during a scene and all the action in "real time".

For her, the theater is a strongly sensual experience that tantalizes her sense of taste, touch and smell.Much better than the cinema.

Though both enjoy the theater, both have differing reasons why they do and the personality of their respective Moon positions shows itself up as to what "aspect" of the theater they enjoy.

Moon in Taurus in5th enjoys 5th house activities from a "sensual" perspective. The 5th house cusp is Taurus after all.

Moon in Leo in 5th enjoys 5th house activities from a "ego-gratifying" perspective. The 5th house cusp is Leo after all.

it won't change the fundamental way in which you act, even in relationships. you'll never be a leo moon, or have their exact traits, but you may be more expressive or "fun" than the typical taurus given the placement in the 5th. the position of the moon in a certain house doesn't change the sign, but puts increased emphasis on that area of your life. it is still under your own moon's influence though, so you might be more "fun' than the average taurus with a moon in perhaps the 10th (career-focused), but you won't morph into another moon sign or behavior.

Aries23Degrees explained it well

2nd house cusp in Taurus. Money could be spent in all things that please the senses; nice smelling perfume,a beautiful painting etc

Moon on the 2nd house cusp of Taurus. Spending money(2nd) makes them feel(Moon) secure(Taurus)

Having money(2nd) makes them feel(Moon) secure(Taurus).

3rd house cusp of Scorpio.Discretion is key. These people don't want you to know what they are thinking and may not even like talking. They may even get defensive when you probe them for an opinion in a conversation i.e "That's none of your business. This discussion is over." etc.

With Moon on the 3rd house cusp of Scorpio. Words and the method of how a message is conveyed(3rd)makes them feel(Moon) intimate(Scorpio) with another.

But there is a strong emphasis on brevity and conciseness. "Say what you mean and avoid over-share" is the modus operandi.

If they do share, what is said(3rd) is often tinged with strong(Scorpio) emotions (Moon) and is never just lip service.

But what if it's a more outgoing sign like sagittarius being in 8th house or 12th house

The energy of the cusp still remains. One must note that not all fire energy and air energy is extroverted.

Some air energy works more internally;like having a very active mind but not being very social etc.

Fire energy can also make one a loner. One may have a strong sense of self and consider spending time getting to know "lesser" mortals a complete waste of energy.

There are many Fire heavy chart people who prefer flying solo. They have some friends(very few) but really don't mind going at it alone.

Now with regards to this energy being in the houses mentioned 8th and 12th, the energy still doesn't change.

I have Sag on the 8th house cusp and so I'll use myself as an example.I am NOT extroverted but am very opinionated to a point that people think I am extroverted because I share my opinion so freely.

Having Sagittarius on the 8th house cusp of intimacy, death and sex means that I have a philosophical bend with regards to these subjects.

As I mentioned in another post,I feel most intimately connected(8th) with people who are open-minded and expressive(Sagittarius).

Sagittarius on the 8th house cusp also suggests that when it comes to sex, there is some reconciliation with religious morality that needs to be addressed and brought to rest.

In an attempt for many 8th house Sag cusp people to do this, they either;

1.End up having a very liberal view and scornfully discard the stern religious doctrine aspect of it-because Sagittarius wants to consider the "broader" perspective. And so religious doctrine may be considered by these people to be "archaic"

2.On the other end of the spectrum. They may be forever judgmental and moralistic of any "deviating" sexuality and may condemn people very severely without digging deeper into the surface.

So one tends to have stern views on homosexuality, sex before marriage, polygamy, adultery, divorce, gender re-assignment surgery and even have rigid expectations of sexual expression within marriage(believing that sex is just for procreation etc).

The key however is to find a balance. And this is what this house wants: Being at peace with god and sexuality and know that neither can ever be exclusive.

Sagittarius on the 8th also suggests that one may be very much informed with many things pertaining to sexuality and have little issues with how people live their lives.

It can also indicate bisexuality or living a very "broad" sex life i.e sex with foreign people/country,sex in the outdoors etc.

When Sagittarius is on the 12th house, one tends to take this dichotomy to the 12th house of isolation, spiritual affairs and private life.

So here there are issues with regards to which spiritual discipline is the the one "true" path to God etc.

To resolve this, some are;

1.Devout(12th house)Catholic/Muslim who diligently follows conventional doctrine(Sagittarius).

Indeed, their private life(12th) may be very active in as far as reading scriptures and observing prayer rituals(Sagittarius)etc.

They may believe themselves to have an intimate relationship with God(12th house) through complete obedience of what is written in the Bible/Koran(Sagittarius) and avoid any deviation from that.

2.And then on the other end of the spectrum, you may find that another with this position is a totally differing case.

These people may scorn conventional spiritual disciplines and religions i.e Buddhism,Christianity,Hinduism ,Islam etc. They may even decide, when all is said and done,to become an atheist.

Some others tend to be non-committal (Sagittarius)to any specific spiritual discipline(12th).Infact,a spiritual view(12th)that does not assign complete "obedience" or is open-ended (Sagittarius)in nature suits them best.

The key here is to realize that the path that is to god is the path that speaks most ardently to the individual concerned.

In both the 12th and the 8th you may find some individuals more introverted and others extroverted.

But the common thread here with them all is that they tend to have an OPINION on the affairs of the house that the Sagittarius cusp is on.

Ask an "introverted" Sagittarius 12th house cusp person with Mercury there on spirituality. And you will get every angle of spirituality diligently dissected(Mercury) for days on end(Sagittarius).

Ask an "introverted" Sagittarius 8th house cusp person with Mars there on sexuality. And you will sure feel like they are stating their opinion(Sagittarius)with such conviction, absolute certainty(Mars) that arguing with them doesn't seem to be an option.
