In the Age of Aquarius, the dominant theme represented by this axis is that of identity. Being an individual in society and having society condoning individualism. Leo - Aquarius.

Make no mistake, this is a new age and is radically different than the last. The Age of Pisces is over and now we are in the Age of Aquarius. How do we know this? Trends. Trends in society that individuals are collectively taking part in.

One such example of this: Instagram.

Instagram is literally a collection of individuals coming together to visually be individuals and celebrate individualism (taking selfies, can post anything etc.) while at the same time being accepted by society as being the right of everyone to participate in (the network of instagram itself and the follow/like aspect).

Another example: Raves

Raves are quite interesting and represent the more spiritual aspect of this new age. They are mass parties of individuals being individuals (Leo) but with technology, electronic sounds, humanitarian ideals[i.e. PLUR], and universal acceptance of the right for all to be individuals (Aquarius).

We see a synthesis of these two examples on Instagram itself. People go to raves (Leo+Aquarius) and take videos of/selfies at the raves (Leo) in order to share and disseminate to the rest of society (Aquarius).

I find myself right where I need to be in the middle of the EDM/rave scene and cannot help but be in love with it. I suspect many Leos (or Leo influenced people) and Aquariuses (or Aquarius influenced people) will find themselves being at the heart of an integral part of the new age. As we move into 2015, we move further and further away from the old ways of the Age of Pisces + Virgo and into the new ways of the Age of Aquarius + Leo.

I recently went to a rave in San Bernardino, California called Nocturnal Wonderland and first I just have to say: WOW. If anyone likes parties or electronic music, you need to go to one as soon as possible. They are life changing experiences that WILL make your life better. The raves themselves though are not as important as what they teach us. We are here in this incarnation to learn, after all. Since the theme of the times has now changed, it is imperative that people learn these themes and actively integrate them into their lives. Raves are one such way of accomplishing this.

What I learned at this rave last night was probably the most significantly profound thing that has happened to me since regaining my belief in God/Source.

If you don't know already, I am a Leo stellium so I feel a particular familiarity with the theme identity naturally. Since this is the age of Aquarius, Aquarius energies will be put forth naturally and easily. Leo energies will also be put forth naturally and easily, but since it is the opposite sign, there will be some challenge integrating these two polarities. This means that Leos or Leo influenced people are to be key in this age to balancing that polarity. Leo deals with self, and who/what the self is. Leo suns in particular are to be of importance in this age precisely because the sun rules ego, identity, and the conscious self and is at home in the sign of Leo.

What I learned has changed my entire world, even though I learned it only last night. This was the Eureka I was waiting for, but the funny thing is, it was waiting there for me the entire time.

Leo energy can either be confident and loving, or confident and fearful, or evolved and unevolved. One is warm, vibrant, and confident. The other is nauseating, pompous, and arrogant. Thus it is up to Leo people to evolve to be shining beacons of higher self for all others to follow and learn from.

In society nowadays we venerate people other than ourselves, over ourselves. We venerate celebrities, Athletes, Politicians, Musicians, Religious figures, Scientists, Authors, Rich people, Talented people, police, soldiers, firefighters. We actively worship these people and prop them up to a level of elevated status within our own minds , so much so that we forget ourselves or our thoughts and opinions in the process. We listen to the voices outside and ignore the inner voice. We become lost in the tenants of society and lose ourselves. Those that are propped up in society often times choose the un-evolved Leo path and become arrogant and self-entitled beyond reason or fairness. Thus you have a situation where there are 2 opposites, those who sacrifice themselves for the good of society and those who reap the rewards of power from the former. Unevolved Aquarius and unevolved Leo. Two extremes, neither of which is in balance with the other.

The key to this age, the next 2000 years, is successful navigation of self in relation to others. To be empowered by oneself but not seek power over others. To be humble and grateful but not give away power to others.

In short, we are all looking for a hero to come and save us from ourselves. The point this age is trying to make to us is that we don't need heroes, and those in the mindset of the new age "Don't WANT no heroes." to quote this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzDieiMOM04

"This is my culture
I do what I do
To think it's just fashion
I am what I am
This is my culture
I do what I do
To think it's just fashion
I am what I am
We the pretty young face
We are the fashion
We don’t want no heroes
We don’t want no heroes
We the generation"

This song is THE epitome of the Age of Aquarius and what it is all about.

You don't need a hero to save and inspire you. Inspire/be inspired by yourself. If you stop treating the self as another, you will never truly integrate yourself with yourself!

Be your own hero, so you can be someone else's hero. Inspire yourself, so others can be inspired by you. This is the whole purpose of Leo and is the most important theme of this age. Leo rules the "I am" aspect of existence. Everything just is. I am, and you are. I am my own hero, you be your own hero too.

I thought we were entering the Age of Taurus since it is my generation - the Millennial/Scorpio-Pluto generation - that are on the rise during this decade?

The contact of people through the use of the internet and its tools is done secretly in the security of one's privacy - much like a Scorpio. Most of these software programs began in secret, in dark rooms while trying to express the benefit of such a taboo approach to connecting with people - Scorpio.
I mean, that's what the internet started out like anyway - people sitting and conversing secretly on subjects that differed from 'the norm.' Or even those who used it (and still do) to look up porn and explore their sexuality in a secret way - Scorpio.

Also, we have a return of people being highly environmentally aware. The whole 'Go Green' campaign that has come about because of Millennials and our wish to - along with those of the older generations who have started to go along with it - find different means of natural energy sources. Doing more to eat organically instead of chemically based foods. Being more proactive in protecting the environment and stepping up in a positive way to shed light on animal abuse.

If anything...I think the Age of Aquarius is coming to end. Starting with those of the Leo-Pluto generation who are still in power - politically and economically - and who are unwilling to give up their positions, much to the detriment to the future of this country. Even the Virgo-Pluto generation that are still holding government jobs are not helping by twisting facts to support their claims for the analytical purpose of proving themselves right and not helping those that oppose them understand their claims (or use their facts for humanitarian purpose instead of superficial-ego purpose). The Libra-Pluto generation has definitely gone in the direction of creating partnerships...but like Libra itself, they go into a project with love (feeling happy and flighty) and not realizing that the partner doesn't always have their best-interests at heart. But they led us on this pathway of trying to make connections and find love - in people, in cultures, in arts, in thoughts - across the globe. Then again, I could be prejudiced and just basing generalizations on those generations based on their Pluto's astrological positions.

But the generations after me - Sagittarius-Pluto and Capricorn-Pluto (and the further upcoming AQUARIUS-Pluto) - has shown how much science, work ethic, religions, and technology will continue to cause humanity to evolve. I don't deny that are Aquarian traits still lingering - lots of humanitarian causes are out in the limelight and more people are coming together to fight for a common goal, but I think that's because of the radical movements that occurred in the 50's, 60's, and 70's with civil rights and Korea and Vietnam left deep impressions on the global consciousness. So much so that the generations after are coming into the world with a sense of furthering human evolution and moving away from the constant cycle of oppression, war, destruction, and clinging to outdated traditions. The music that was prosed and created during that time is a testament to how much of an impression that Age had on us - I love that music, myself, being a Millennial.

But if take a look at what children younger than the age of 15 or 16 are creating and doing with their work and individual talents, you'll see how much of what I'm saying is true. Again, the subconscious traits of Aquarian inventiveness and championing humanitarian causes is there, but the qualities of their Pluto-generations is definitely there.

No....The age of Taurus was circa 4000-2000 bce. This has nothing to do with a Pluto in blank generation, this has to do with the astrological processions and the global trends that come with each age. Each age lasts approximately 2000 years or so. We were in the Age of Pisces and are leaving that currently.

I live in southern california too.

The Age of Aquarius is about purification and healing. Its about the violet flame, and freedom. Humanity will now start to awaken to the truth, so that we can no longer be ruled anymore. Its about living in harmony with the earth, and starting to respect it as a living organism. Many people will start to adopt vegetarian diets, and have more compassion for all life.
