Today I did a tremendous amount of work. Then I biked 40 miles. About four hours later, and after working more, I ran 5 miles.I was looking at the moon crying the entire time.
I am reminded of an ancient zen koan written by me in a previous life.
Augusta could not achieve full lotus. She wined and cried to the zen master every day. The zen master told her that she was too good.
One night Augusta was stretching under the blue moon. She began to cry thinking of her lover who passed away of disease and the pain and suffering in his face. She was so deep in her sorrow she forgot that she was stretching but when she realized what she was doing she found her self sitting in full lotus by accident.
That night Augusta never worried for Zen again. She was a Zen master because she was so weak she was strong.
