Because they get so aggressive (with their words) and go on and on without stopping ever and their words are so loud and harsh that you just give up at some point…. what in the natal can make a person like this?IP: Logged |

That's usually synastric. MARS squares typically. Or even a hefty T-Square configuration that's part of a natal affliction. But in most cases, that's synastric. IP: Logged |

No its not, I know a person that is this way no matter who they discuss with. People just give up because the person is just so angry (with words) and aggressive. Its NOT synastry this one.

It could be synastry if the native has planets in almost every sign which are harshly aspected therefore activated by just about everyone. These natives may be calmer with people strong in the sign they are lacking. It's worth checking on. IP: Logged |

Also, people like this are usually mind altered in some way via drugs, prescription or street drugs. They cannot control their aggressive tendencies. IP: Logged |

I'm all about signs, less about aspects. BUT I find aspect-wise that Mercury-Mars is worse than Mercury in Aries in general. I have Mercury Mars with my mom and I find her to be that way. She's also Taurus rising, Aries Sun, Libra moon. A hot flash, light switch, trigger temper. I love her but MAN! She has been high maintenance my whole life because of this and I think its part of why I avoid conflict everywhere else. An immature Fire Sun and Moon, again in my experience. Aries sun, Sag moon. The person was extremely wordy and got to the point easily, but was just really wordy and blunt about it. It annoyed me. I remember him also having Mercury square Neptune, so perhaps be thought the more he said the more clear he was being. Nope! I tend to raise my voice and yell if I get angry enough, and I have Mercury in Aries sextile Mars. But I'm always unnecessarily blunt without realizing how it sounds at the wrong time, and unnecessarily laid back when it counts. Sigh. IP: Logged |

So you're arguing that anyone with a bad temper and poor communication skills must be on drugs? IP: Logged |

I agree that this can be synastric to a large degree, but in natals, Mercury squares would be a classic sign. Mars square Mercury would be prototypical. I've looked into the chart of the most verbally aggressive person I know, and he has an early Cancer Mercury conjunct Jupiter and square Aries Moon. His Sun is conjunct Uranus, in late Cancer. He really doesn't stop and think about his, or others', feelings and what would be the best thing to say, he just fires off one tirade after another. He will never beat you with logic, but he will shout over you until you give up. I think a negative effect of Mercury conjunct Jupiter is that the person will not stop and think that they might be wrong, but just take their opinions as the best ones and go with it. A square to the Moon shows a lack of emotional awareness on the mental plane, and when it's in Aries, they will get irrationally angry over tiny things. So, yeah, bad contacts between Mercury and Aries/Mars, compounded by Jupiter or possibly Pluto, for the belief of righteousness. IP: Logged |
