Neptune, which rules allergies, entered my 6th house (Aquarius) at the end of 2008. By the summer of 2009 I began to be plagued by food sensitivies and environmental allergies. It took years for me to realize it was food related. I can no longer tolerate wheat, dairy, eggs or peanuts. I had to give up coffee. Things with sulfites bother me. I still eat hot peppers but they give me skin problems so I limit it. I also suffer from seasonal allergies when I never did before. Most perfumes give me a headache.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Will it go away when Neptune moves into the 7th? (In six years ) Soon there will be nothing left for me to eat.

Same happened to me! During my Nep transit in 6H I had penicillin shocks, couldn't tolerate antibiotics, and am now allergic to gluten products. I also had many other weird "ailments" and I often slept with my room mate out of fear I wouldn't survive the night.

I agree that Neptune has to do with allergies, as they are foreign things that our unique bodies repel and are out of our control.

But the strange thing is, I have Neptune in the 6th House natally, but I am not allergic to anything? (yes, I'm allergic to pollen like most people but it's not severe like some people. But I meant other allergies that I'm aware of).

Maybe since I have it natally (and that it is also Rx) it instead makes me immune in a sense to allergies? (aside from Pollen).

As for your question, I cannot answer that as Neptune hasn't transited over my 6th House since I was a baby (because I have it natally) and I didn't have any uncommon allergies back then either.

Yes, I've had many weird ailments and was very depressed for a while. Is it still in your 6th house? I guess your gluten allergy is permanent?

Where is your Neptune natally?

Your post has me thinking about a few things. Maybe it relates to Neptune aspects? My natal Neptune is in the 3rd house 28 degrees Scorpio retro. My 6th house cusp is 22 degrees Aquarius, so it was in square. This Neptune square has really effected me. I know people like to use tight orbs but it is at 6 Pisces now and I am still feeling it. So it could be that?

Secondly, I am Virgo rising. Virgo are very health conscious but in a lot of cases there is some kind of health crisis that causes them to get healthy. I was never overweight and at the time I was a vegetarian so i thought I was pretty healthy but after having all these strange symptoms that doctors couldn't help me with I began looking to holistic alternatives. For a few years I was pretty much obsessed with alternative health.

Thirdly, this Neptune square is partly what triggered my spiritual awakening. I didn't have a full blown awakening until 2012, the kind you never come back from , but around this time I read "A New Earth" and saw the truth in that and first tried meditation and stuff. Since then, I have heard people mention that awakening makes your system much more sensitive or your body will make you get healthy pre-awakening so it can handle it?

So, maybe there are other triggers besides just transiting the 6th? I have it retro too, so that makes it more 'internalized', the energy is directed inward versus outward?

Hmm. Yeah, this all makes sense.

It could have to do with your Neptune square the 6th House cusp, as there would be tension (square) with your health (6th House Cusp) and out of our control things (Neptune).

Yeah, Virgo is more about natural medicine/healing like alternative, holistic methods like you started to use.

And yeah, that makes sense that it being Rx makes it more internalized.

And meditation and spiritual awakening both have to do with Neptune, and Neptune is subtle, invisible influences from the environment and astral to your subconscious perception, or even physical body (when talking about Physical and Medical Astrology), and then add that with your more internalized Rx Neptune, and you get a very sensitive subconscious mind so you being more sensitive after that makes you more prone to allergies, so that makes a lot of sense, actually. I think that's possibly why

I have a combination of 20+ allergies & sensitivities, to date (I am 36). And yes, they are documented either by an allergist or from previous hospitalizations.

Most of them hit when I was 20, a few more at 28 and more yet at 35. The food allergies didn't start until I was 28. Everything else was environmental, animals and medications prior to that.

Anyway, I will see what's up in my chart & I will try to pinpoint the transits.

I have my hospital bracelet from last time and the other events were tied to significant dates, so I will be able to track these and report back.

I have Pisces on the cusp of sixth and north node therein, afflicted second house Neptune however it is in good aspect to the node and I have preservative allergies big time.

Age 20, Neptune(r) in H6

Age 28, Neptune in H6

Age 35, Neptune in H7 (nothing in my 6th, so I have no idea?)

For me, no. I had to learn to substitute many things in my recipes.

I haven't eaten out at a restaurant in many years. More than 5, maybe?

I am not sure how we contact each other off of the forum, but I am willing to chat about it if it helps. I know after my last hospitalization, I was was SCARED to eat and I was feeling the same feeling of "OMG there will be nothing left I can eat."

It sucks hon. I'm sorry.

So you have an afflicated Neptune that rules your sixth house and you have perservative allergies. Neptune is in Pisces now, is it in your sixth yet? Is it retro in your natal? Have you always suffered from that allergy or did it come on out of the blue?

Aw, thanks Geeky! You make me feel like a big baby to be complaining when you have a much worse situation than me. Yikes, that is tough. I use the term allergies but really they are sensitivities. I won't end up in the hospital just have to suffer with painful symptoms or rashes on face (so attractive). I was diagnosed officially though by a function medicine doctor who ran IgG allergy test versus IgA and IgE that 'allergy' doctors use.

Going out to eat is tough. That is what made me post this yesterday, feeling frustrated with not being able to go where I want and eat what I want. Going on vacation is sooo hard.

Have you looked into the holistic side of things? I'm guessing you have. My doctor and I seem to think it is related to Leaky Gut Syndrome but I have tried to heal it but haven't had any success.

Where is your natal Neptune? In your 20s you would have been too young for the square but was there another aspect? Is it retro natally? What rules your sixth?

Thanks!

It still makes you miserable. I have IgG & IgE issues... I get it. Eczema is one thing I get from "sensitivities" and anyone with ezcema knows that it's horrible even if you aren't hospitalized.

I know! And people in general are so clueless about allergies so that makes me doubt someone when they say it's free of whatever. I've even had someone say to me, "oh I thought you were just allergic to milk, not ice cream" *headslap*

Oh yeah. After years & years of misdiagnosis, being told I have IBS, GERD, anxiety and idiopathic anemia, I took things into my own hands and eventually found a naturopath and a good allergist. Between the two of them and many blood tests, it turned out I had Celiac disease. All of the damage to my intestines basically opened the flood gates.

Capricorn is the sign on my H6 cusp.

Natally, I have these aspects:

Neptune in H4 & Scorpio is on my H4 cusp
Sun Square Neptune
Moon Conj. Neptune
Saturn Square Neptune
Neptune Trine Ascendant

Also, I have a Virgo sun and I have the classic Virgo digestive system that is plagued with issues.

Thanks!

I just wanted to let you know you are not alone in your frustration. *hug*
