By itself, can it denote emotional distance or numbness? Lacking empathy for individuals or women? What if it's also trine Saturn and Uranus and opposite Pluto?IP: Logged |

Hi Hanna, I have my moon (VOC) in the 11th as well, it's also my Asc ruler. I can relate to what you wrote, I have Chiron and the S. Node conjunct also. I can easily emotionally connect to other people and have a very real need to help/heal them, unless it's of their own doing; that's when I need to bite my mercury in Sag tongue. IP: Logged |

Yes and yes. But the "lacking empathy" part can manifest in a more "not my problem" thing, opposed to not actually feeling it, as they can still feel it if they have other factors in their chart to denote it. I actually have this placement, so I can speak from experience. As for it having to specifically do with women makes no difference. It's individuals in general. IP: Logged |

Hi Carm and MI, thanks for replying! I asked because I find people tell me their problems expecting sympathy - more specifically my Scorpio Sun Cap moon friend - and yet I feel none or just annoyance like "Okay, what do you want ME to do about it?" I can't feel anything for an event that already happened and can't be undone (double that if it was foreseeable or of their own doing) and sometimes it makes me feel like I'm a bad friend. I figured it may have to do with this placement since it's a) a fixed moon and b) in a fixed house, naturally ruled by Aquarius but in this case, technically ruled by Aries (but moon is in Taurus.) I guess one could say the Moon in the 11th house is emotional rebelliousness in a way. IP: Logged |

What is a Void of Course Moon, and can other planets be VOC? Also, how can you tell if a Moon is VOC? IP: Logged |

This is the best website I have found (for me) as far as definition goes ... http://www.drstandley.com/Void_of_Course_Moon_Calendar_2014.shtml calculator ... http://www.lunarium.co.uk/calendar/universal.jsp IP: Logged |

Thanks for the links So on the day I was born, it shows the symbol for the "Void of Course End", so that means my Moon isn't a VOC, right? IP: Logged |

Very interest Hanna, The more I read and learn the more "dual" my chart becomes. The moon is my Asc ruler and my moon is voc and half Fixed/Fire (29.54 Aries) conjunct important things to me anyway (a stellium, imo). I'm a Sag with the sun a sag stellium, ruled by Jupiter which is retrograde in my 11th House of Taurus. Some days I don't now if I'm coming or going. I feel emotionally confused, during the day, I'm one way and then a night another. You are a good friend, it's hard watching friends make the same mistakes over and over. By listening and being there, you are a best friend I wish your Scorpio Sun Cap moon friend all the best.

If the < shows up before your time of birth then yes the VOC has ended and is "on course" Only the moon can be VOC IP: Logged |

I know I'm a good friend, I think she's just greedy and hard to please at times. In ANY case... how do you find duality in your chart? I probably have some if my ASC is in Gemini, so I'm curious. IP: Logged |

My 6th Mars, Sun, Neptune Sag stellium is great for business, I'm self motivating, confidant, and an out of the box idea thinker. At night, when I'm alone with my thoughts I become (less now than before) self-doubting, questioning everything I said or did. I think (to some) I come across as arrogant, it's a defense. I've turned to developing my spiritual side, I'm only a piece of my soul and I was created this way to experience this theme. Gemini is my empty 12th house so I'm not sure how that plays out for me. Well it says < on my day of birth, but how can I tell when it ended exactly in terms of time? Because on that calendar, it also shows Cancer Moon, but my Moon is in Gemini because I was born before the Moon sifted to Cancer on that day. So does the VOC change when it shifts signs? If so, then my Moon isn't VOC because it's not in Cancer, but Gemini. IP: Logged |

9/17/1995, 3:55 AM Well my Moon is at 28.50 Gemini, so does that mean it's VOC? IP: Logged |

yes, you were born during the void. The void started on Sept. 16th @ 5:09pm and ended 6:15am on the 17th when it entered Cancer. You probably have conjuncts, oppositions, squares etc ... to your moon, some astrologers say you can't have those during a VOC. That's why I posted the link above, I have a void moon and connections to other planets so it is possible like Dr. Standley says. IP: Logged |

Oh, okay. Thanks for the help Yes, I do have aspects with my Moon and other planets. A lot of aspects actually. How can we not have those aspects just because the Moon was VOC during that time? That doesn't even make sense, right? Do those astrologers mean that the aspects don't have any affect or something? IP: Logged |

I don't think so, I don't have a < anywhere in my chart. Pluto was in retrograde though if that counts for anything, lol! IP: Logged |

no the < symbol is found in the lunar calculator (see above links). It symbolizes the start of the void. Retrograde planets have ties past life experiences. IP: Logged |

If I'm not mistaken the theory comes from Ptolemy 90-168AD. I don't believe it, a new age needs new ideas and traditions. IP: Logged |
