Yeah, me too. I have a venus square neptune. Don't even get me started on that one... And a ton of harsh aspects to Saturn. And a lot of Neptunian energy in there as well. Stuck is a good way to describe how I feel lately. Any advice on how to overcome these types of aspects? I have: Saturn opposite AS saturn square sun saturn square venus saturn square mercury neptune opposite AS neptune square sun neptune square venus neptune square mercury IP: Logged |

I have Neptune square Venus too, and Venus is being opposed by Saturn too. My Venus is in libra.Saturn is in my first house and is in fall retrograde. Do you know the effects of Venus square Neptune with aspects to Saturn? If so, let me know how it is for you. ------------------ Mia x IP: Logged |

Out of those aspect you listed, I think Sun square Saturn is the only really "hard" aspect. But still, it's a square, the opposition would have been worse I believe. The square you can probably learn to tackle with time, but it will take both discipline, hard work and a lot of effort. The problem with this aspect is that you can grow very hard on yourself - too hard on yourself. And too self-critical. Which houses are saturn and sun in? These areas are likely to be most affected by it. People with this aspect can suffer from low self-esteem, usually rooted in childhood and usually linked to an absent father or a father who was too strict on you. You learned through childhood to be a bit too hard on yourself, and this has manifested deep in you. And you need to shake that off again, or at least learn to be more realistic about it. Neptune square sun would have a kind of very different effect though, and I could even see how it can strengthen the other aspect or maybe loosen it. This aspect makes you extremely sensitive towards others, and if you don't take care of this aspect it could be potentially dangerous because you can get all disillusioned. Your very sense of yourself, your identity, your personality can be distorted and you can grow so much self doubt. On the other hand you are probably very creatively gifted and would have a nice sense of the arts in everything. My hope is that saturn and neptune could support each other, cause having both these planet in hard aspects, also makes you have a lot of energy, and probably learn it the hard way already from an early age. Saturn is self-discipline and having mercury square saturn you can really learn to master some serious self-discipline with your very though pattern, so with time you will also discover how many complicated things you are actually capable of doing, just out of sheer stubbornness and self taught discipline. Squares are hard and craves some serious work, but the good thing about the square is that it is a problem that exist inside yourself and therefor you are able to detect what its about and then work on a solution. The opposition is different, because it always works between two extremes that is often in contact with the outer world, which is why with the opposition you constantly run into problems with other people and you always stand back and say the word "why?". It takes some time to find balance between the two extremes, while the square is more about finding a solution to your own behavior that makes for trouble. Hope this helps! I have saturn square mercury and neptune square mercury myself, and I actually LOVE both aspect because they seem to work well together (most of the times lol) IP: Logged |

The worst I've seen yet is SUN square SATURN (2°) with MERCURY square MOON (1°) opposite MARS (0°) and VENUS square NEPTUNE (1°).That's a very tight T-Square involving three personal planets, and both lights square -- one being an outer. He's got some hefty karma, and has certainly had a difficult life with many challenges to overcome. But he's the most evolved, gentle, and sympathetic soul I know. I'm deeply blessed to have him in my life. IP: Logged |

Wow. You are on point. I feel like saturn really restricts me and yes I stand in my own way a lot. It's a vicious cycle it seems. It doesn't have too much to do with outer aspects, minus my relationship with my dad. The neptune really throws me off because I get stuck in lalaland a lot. My saturn and neptune both are in my 7th house too. ;( IP: Logged |

Well, but you can still ask yourself from which point in your early years did you learn to become a bit hard on yourself/stand in your own way? You probably learned this because of some people in your life, that was particularly strict/intelligent/dominating. -whether it is a teacher, friend, partner or parent. But someone who were somewhat a "father-figure?" If you have both these planets in your 7th house, you might have some struggles within your partnerships. You probably set very high standards towards whom you would like to marry/date/have a relationship with? Or you could end up finding someone which you think is the perfect mate, but they end up disappointing you deeply? Partnerships probably craves a lot of work for you, but depending on the rest of your chart you would be willing to do the work, or you rather run away the moment you meet obstacles? IP: Logged |

I suppose mine is quite similarly "bad" as Aubyanne's example, with Saturn in detriment at the apex of a T-Square with Jupiter, Chiron, Mars and Uranus, and no harmonious aspects whatsoever. It's also just out of orb (11'30) of forming a conjunction with the Sun, but for some reason the effect on the Sun can still be felt. The Sun in turn is at the apex of yet another T-Square with the Moon and Pluto, and exactly quincunx Neptune. Both T-Squares land in the 8th House of crisis and transformation; let's just say my life has been ... umm... "eventful" so far. But even though many of the things that happened were mighty unpleasant, they surely were rather interesting as well and taught me a thing or two. So from this perspective, it's all good, I really wouldn't have it any other way.I guess one could say, just because your chart may be "royally screwed up" doesn't mean YOU have to screw up as well
You're totally right. I mean, what greater accomplishment than when you are able to overcome astrological predispositions. It just trips me up at times. I'm trying to really hone in on my tendencies and this saturn energy that I feel very often. IP: Logged |

To be honest, not really sure how saturn plays into all that. How does the neptune square venus affect you on it's own though?
