I lost my childhood pet today... I have no idea how to cope with this. I'm far away but got the news that something was seriously wrong with my cat tonight. She was taken to the pet hospital where the vet had to put her to sleep because she had a major stroke and would have been worse if she'd been taken home. (She was very old.) The fact I couldn't be there with her when she passed makes me feel horrible. We were very connected, I've never had such a beautiful, loving pet that was so kind and gentle. She was the best pet anyone could've asked for.

I feel so upset and the situation feels unreal. If anyone has any advice how to cope in the coming weeks I'd appreciate it. I've been doing my best to let all my emotions out and to just accept them vs. suppressing them. But I am so devastated. I had her growing up and I'm very easily attached to animals so this is a major blow.

Oh...

As Virgo rules pets, my friend.
I guess it was Her time to get a rest.

May the little energy of that being be in peace, of course, Her memory will always live in your Heart.

Don't be sad, because She'll live in You just as long as you Do!

I 'm really really sorry.
I think you should try to be reasonable about it, death comes for us all.. Allow to yourself to mourn for few days and then you should go on..

Cry but think that you are strong and you should live to remember it..

My sincerest condolences dear…

Mourning has to take it's natural course, though no one ever wants to sustain the pain of it…

I can only suggest that you gravitate towards anything that can center you…so that your pain can transcend into an aura of peace….

Exp. When my spirit feels heavy, I have to get by some water. Lakes, bays, water fountains etc. I put myself in an environment where my emotions can spill but upon that release there's a gratifying sensation of serenity….

I felt your pain through your words and I am just so sorry for your loss. Warmest hugs from afar

To all who replied, thank you for your kind words and sympathy. I appreciate it. I'll try to keep in mind that it's good to preserve happy memories of her to keep her alive in spirit. I'll also take the suggestion of gravitating toward what centers me.

I'm so sorry..
losing an animal is always heartbreaking.. It feels alot like losing a family member.
I understand exactly how you feel.

Cry if you need to, let it all out.
focus on positive thoughts that can help you move forward.
Just know this will make you a stronger person.

I'm so sorry, sweet-scorpion. It just takes time. We've all (mostly all) been there. Like you, I was away (in another state, where I'd taken up residence a few years before) when mine passed. His name was Phoenix; he was a piece of my adolescence in and of itself. Aqua Sun, Libra Moon.

:hugs:

Aww ss, I'm so very sorry **hugs**

I know that pain all too well. Just know that her spirit will always be in your heart. Time will make it hurt less.
