I'm looking up people with the 12th house north node and they are some of the most famous people who ever lived.

Justin Bieber
Justin Timberlake
Jennifer Lawrence
Nicholas Tesla
Dali Lama
Bradly Cooper
http://www.astrotheme.com/celebrities/nn/m12/2.htm

The list goes on. I'm thinking there needs to be a reassessment of the age old adage that 12th house means isolation. Rather, it seems to mean collective tribe and predisposes one to eternal fame.

Of all those listed Tesla was the one who gave the most. Thank him for the electricity in your home.

Oddly enough, he has the same sun/moon combination as Spongebob.

I am really impressed with who has South Node in the twelfth. Tesla is one of my favorites but there's some pretty intensely famous people with south node in twelfth, too.

Hm interesting. I'm not famous but I hope to be one day for writing lol. North node at 29 degrees Gemini conjunct moon in 12th here.

I'll have to look more into the 12th house with north node because I still don't fully grasp.

None of these people are intensely famous, or say a genuine superstar akin to Michael Jackson/Elvis/US President/Diana/Queen of England.

Tesla was isolated. He died penniless/forgotten and only became a household name years after death.

Tesla is the one responsible for the power grid most of the world uses, the alternating current.

Alex makes a good point about the north node itself being in the 12th, as well as the 12th house itself being considered as the house of collective consciousness, but it don't think the NN there makes someone eternally famous.....especially not with examples like Justin Bieber, Vanessa Hudgens, or even Elizabeth Hurley.

We would have to analyze charts of household names to determine that.

Evidently, your chances increase if you have JUPITER sextile URANUS, too. Who knew?

Examples of eternally/infamously famous people:

Michael Jackson
Michael Jordan
William Shakespeare
Oprah Winfrey
Adolph Hitler
Osama bin Laden

If you keep going down the list the people get more and more famous...I just wrote down the most recent people on the list, but the list is pretty monolithic.

Linda Goodman is on the list too and she's one of the most famous astrologers of our age.

NN in the 6th house and SN in the 12th house is said to be a good position. The list on astrotheme is longer and I do like the persons like Jim Morrison, Heath Ledger, Jules Verne, M.C. Escher…
I guess NN in the 12th makes it difficult to be seen as an individual and emerge from the ocean of the collective.
I did like the article of Ms. Elizabeth Spring here on NN in the 12th house.

I don't really believe this position in itself brings you fame. Also, it's enough of amazingly famous people with NN's in other houses... You would probably have to look at MC to get some idea about one's potential for being famous.
NN in 12H would avoid being famous and hide itself in a remote mountain cottage. Also, why would 6H South Node have anything to do with fame? They both work in the background.

I would've thought that for fame, maybe NN in the 5th house, and SN in 11th, or vice versa, or Leo/Aquarius contacts aspects.

All the public houses can be connected with fame, including the twelfth since it is a public house. Public houses start with seven.

12th house can mean eternal fame due to the eternal nature of this house. Amazing realizations are connected to this house. Unspoken truths about life and its mysteries. It is a science house, too.

It's a risk taking aspect. Luck associated with risk.
Not that your risks will always pay off, but you're geared in the right direction, more than most
