does anyone know why the progressed ASC is so different in astro.com and Solar fire?
This is especially true for Pisces-ASC (as they are a fast rising ASC).

for example I have one case wehre in Solar Fire the pr ASC is on 7 Gemini, while in astro.com it is 2 Gemini.

Does anyone know why this is so? And maybe more importantly, which one is right?

Hi Ceridwen

That sounds like a coding issue. You may have more luck posting in the teen section.

I don't know, Ceri, but could it be possible it's related to this?:

If not, I was thinking checking your pASC with several softwares or online calculators may show you which one is right? I am interested in your conclusion.

okay, Leeloo thank you, I get it now.

Solar fire had the option SA in Longitude preinstalled.
Astro.com uses Naibod in RA.

Then there is the mean Quotidian (which would make the most sense astrologically as it moves the angles according to the same pattern as the planets, but it is not really used I think. lol Moves too quickly). Anyway it might be useful for EXACT event triggering though.

According to Kannon in that thread the Naibod method might be the most precise/ accurate one.

Now there is a Naibod in RA and a naibod in Longitude, the latter one actually seems to make a lot of sense too.

Actually I was always surprised why when my pr ASC was hitting my Venus, nothing really happened that year, instead the big changes happened years after that.

with the Naibod in Long as well as the Naibod in RA this made muchm ore sense, Now I just have to figure out which one is the best.
