Very cool question. I have no idea for sure, but Capricorn naturally came to mind for bringing home the bacon. But where exactly? Mars in Capricorn? I think that would be a successful placement, though not necessarily for income.

Me too.

With the Sun in 4th, the individual finds that they enjoy expressing themselves(Sun) in a home environment(4th house) or creating a space that has a very "familiar" feel to them.

The 10th house Sun is very driven to achieve and "conquer" the external world.

They may see achievement and making something of themselves as very important.

How the individual does the above however, will depend on the signs of the cusp of the 4th and 10th.

A 10th house Sun in Libra will use charm, creativity,tact,diplomacy and working with others as a way to spearhead their way to the top.

They will feel at their best when they accomplish something/receive a title/award for a job well done.

A 4th house Sun in Libra will use those same talents in creating a beautiful home OR be able to create a home away from home -anywhere they go.

Hmmmmmm. I have a very strong 8th house Mars in Capricorn and I'm a stay at home mom while he goes and works. With Leo on the IC, I am queen of my castle and run the show at home here. I do all the scheduling and dealing with home care workers com g in and specialist appts for the kids. He has handed over the responsibilities to get all the bills paid etc. I am the master at money in my relationship.

Maybe house placements of planets would be stronger than a planet in a sign.

Hm... I wonder if we're born close together. I have those same placements. I'll probably never have children, but I do like to "run the home", have it looking beautiful, warm and comfortable. I have Venus in the 4th.

Mars in a woman's chart can show what kind of men she's attracted to, so that makes sense that your partner would be the "breadwinner" and you'd be comfortable with that (some women aren't). Is he very Saturnine, intense/passionate about his work or a workaholic? That is how my boyfriend is (he also has Mars in Cap but in the 1st house!)

I run my own daycare business while being a stay at home mom to my 2 children. I also handle the house financials.

I prefer -- and have always preferred -- the idea of being a homemaker. I am capable of earning, but I had to grow up really fast and I've been in the workforce for a total of 20 years. I feel like I'm always struggling, living paycheck to paycheck, and I really wish my hubby were in a place to be the breadwinner for a while. I feel like I'm missing out on the critical years I have with my kids and it sucks.

So what draws me to want to be a homemaker? I am going to guess Moon in H4.
