hi Kannon McAfee, thanks for advice...sorry, at first I mistook u moon chart because i was checking by mobile when i woke up at midnight, now i use computer then found i made a mistake. ok, i set time as noon and updated here(now his ASC is Virgo).

I've said this before somewhere but I find a good way to guess someone's ASC sign through personality is to ask the question " what is your view on life?" It's a good question to ask to at least guess the element right. Edit * oh and yes I meant possibly cancer rising on leo cusp IP: Logged |

hi violet.....if i ask him this question now, he might answer he isn't very happy, stressful because he has to relocate far away, no business travel for current position which disappointed him, feel traped.....but usually he is a quiet positive person.... IP: Logged |

Oh well that's unfortunate. What I meant though is it should be asked when the person is more relaxed. Not about any particular situation at the moment but when they are having a good time or not as much is on their mind. It's more of a philosophical question. IP: Logged |

I agree with this...I see fire. My first thought was Aries. But I think trying to guess ascendant is kind of futile. You can guess all day, but still be wrong. He could have mars or Jupiter on his ascendant but be water rising. You never know. I've given up on guessing ascendant signs unless there's a way that I can find out if I was right or wrong lol. All I can say is my Leo ex had small eyes... But yeah feminine doesn't really go with a male Leo

I had once asked him which personality is more like him when I brought out the decriptions of moon in Aries and moon in Taurus. He said he is more like Taurus. I also brought out the descriptions of ASC in Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo and Libra. He said he didn't know, he said he has the combination of those all..... I know it is better to ask him to ask his old parent when he was born, in the morning, afternoon or night, then could make more reasonable guess.... Just don't know if his parents still know that. I wonder if a person who has Aries moon and Leo ASC will be bossy, in fact, in his family, his wife is more bossy who nags a lot. I know people with strong fire element easily gets impatient. My bf has Taurus sun/moon/mercury, late Gemini venus and Libra mars but Aries ASC. So he has hot temper. I have a gf who has Aries sun and Taurus ASC, she is more Aries than Taurus, less patient. To describe the rising sign at its true essence you would have to examine charts that have a predominance of that sign throughout the chart, with planets, house, aspects, rulers, etc. in that same sign in order to come up with a model. That person would show the key characteristics of that sign in their personality and looks. If a chart is not heavy with the astrological principles describing that sign you can't always match the descriptions to a chart. This is why guessing the ascendant is really a guess. You really need key dates as mentioned above, and to ask key questions, and to see the chart itself. Thanks for providing the chart and the birth data. That makes things easier to see. That said, I'm "guessing" around 2 degrees Leo for the rising sign. The ruler of the AC would be Sun in 11H Gemini and Mercury is there also adding weight to Gemini characteristics. Good placements for success in engineering field. The Moon would be 29 Aries conjunct Mars at 2 Taurus, square to the AC, thus the difficulty isolating the moon characteristics. Makes a nice trine to 1H Uranus though. Saturn is then placed in the 7H Aquarius. That, with Cancer Venus, fits with your description of girls he likes, plus Lord of DC is 1H Uranus. NN is in first, so this adds focus on self. If he is married his wife may have come from money or status and he may think of marriage more as a business arrangement with Saturn there in Aqu. Leo likes to be surrounded by those of status. Jupiter Chiron conjunct in 8H supports this, with ability to have access to spouse or family money, but with restrictions or conditions involved. 2H Pluto would then help with wise long term investing. Sorry, I'm rambling on. This rising makes sense to me with support from the chart as a whole, from what you mentioned, but I would need to ask many questions to be sure. Everyone's guesses are helpful if it helps you understand your friend better, whether they are right or wrong, because every bit of reasoning and assessing will help you increase your skill as an astrologer. You give good counter comments where you relate differently to what is suggested and that shows you are working to find your own way. mollywu,This is one of those chart rectifications that is actually quite difficult because of the following reasons:
a) There is a near equal likelihood of Moon in either Aries or Taurus.
b) This is difficult to determine because Moon is still conjunct Mars for nearly that entire day, meaning he could have Moon in Taurus conjunct Mars, but still seem like a Moon in Aries type.
c) This determination of Moon sign still gets priority over the Asc, so as to rule out half the zodiac/times of day. The best approach in my opinion is to first do research of family records, etc, to determine what general time of day he was born. Even then work broadly, inclusively to narrow it down. Yes, I could agree with those who say Sagittarius seems possible. The sign of Leo in general is not probable. This is because the face is narrow/longish which points to a mutable sign as most likely on the Asc, or to an angular Asc aspect to Neptune/Saturn. The solar principle can be evident in someone who has Asc sq/opp/parallel/contra-parallel the Sun. If I were working on this chart I would probably start with 20 Sagittarius on the Asc and see if the other possible placements make enough sense. If not, I would move it back to 28 Libra (Contra-parallel Mars). If not, then try Asc in mid-Virgo opp Jupiter in Pisces. If not, I'd try late Cancer on the Asc +/- 21 North = Parallel Sun [21N45], Pluto [20N57]. Based on your description of him, Virgo and Cancer are most likely. ------------------
