They say Taurus is ultrasensual. I have Taurus Mars and a 2nd house Moon and lately I've been wondering if I could even call myself moderately sensual. I have a soft spot for some desserts and sweets and I tend to indulge in them once I put my hands on them. I also like petting dogs. Is that enough?------------------

Sensual usually is tied to sexual, but they're not the same thing. Sensual just means we like to use our senses in feeling the world around us. Taste, touch, sight, hearing, smell. We like any sense that is calm, peaceful, soothing, nice and pleasant - stable, traditional, and we attach sentimental and possessive values on them. IP: Logged |

lol. funny. i had a virgo bf who refused to even touch my dogs because "all animals are dirty." so i would classify animal petting as sensual - using touch :-)

If I equaled sensual to sexual I wouldn't have made this thread  I'd define sensuality as the focus on providing pleasant stimuli to the body through touch, smell and taste. And I...sometimes I forget that I have a body.@starmoon

Then you are evolving past the personal energy of Taurus in Mars and approaching the spiritual. Taurus in Mars changes from sensual desire to true desire of aspiration - instead of searching the physical for light, the manifestation becomes light in the physical. In all seriousness though, I think that since Mars has to do with drive and sexuality, that would manifest as more of a steady determination in your life pursuits and a very physical, earthy way of approaching sex. I think Venus in Taurus is more sensual. I'm Venus in Taurus, and I am VERY sensual. I love candles, sweets, cuddling, beautiful surroundings, I LOVE being outside and feeling the weather, etc, etc. And since the moon is feeling, I would guess that means you have a steady and sensible way of handling your emotions, depending on the sign your moon is in too, of course. i agree w/you. my bf is mars in taurus and i see the taurus come out more in the determination and goal-setting and the way he goes after stuff (persistent, but patient). his venus sign actually makes him less touchy-feely than most taurus folks, although i do notice the tendency to reach out and touch stuff/people often IP: Logged |

Dont worry I think its your venus in aquarius! They are squared signs so i can see how you can be VERY particular on who you touch and besides aquarius isnt big on showing affection by touching we are alot more mental and idk just different lmao i can see how that would play out for you considering im an aqua asc/moon,You experience your taurus mars in your drive and ambitions, i noticed venus signs are pretty Accurate on how we show love lol im dating a venus in taurus right now and we went to see a movie last night and she was literally laying down on me and rubbing my arms and hands while watching the movie haha she loves touchingIP: Logged |

As a Capricorn Mercury,I feel like my likes overlap with Taurus placements quite a bit.I know that most people don't think of Caprciron as particularly "sensual". But Cap is an earth sign after all and like Taurus,they are very discerning. Difference is,Cap doesn't place as much value in the senses as Taurus does.Only seeing them as something to enjoy now and then,but definitely not something they can define their life on(like Taurus). Sensual is like "savor":When you savor an experience,you connect with it deeply and enjoy it.And I think that's what Taurus placements can do. Hmm yeah Aqua venus and Taurus mars is an interesting mix... I'm really not touchy feely with most ppl either. Hugs and kisses even in a social context like as a greeting usually make me uncomfortable lolBut otoh.. I'm very sensual in some ways. Do you like getting massages? Hey Cappy, don't worry so much. Not overly experiencing sensuality, or expressing sexuality may just be temporary. Saturn is opposite Taurus in Scorpio right now. If you check your transits there may be an aspect to your Taurus Mars causing restriction. Anyway, Mars is much more of a sexual planet. The creative sex act is indeed very different from sensual gratification which can occur outside of the sex act. Taurus is a sluggish sign, so the sex act itself may tend to be slow, not a "slam bam thank you mam" kind of placement like it would be in Scorpio. So in Taurus the sex act itself would bring in much opportunity to enjoy and have enhanced all of your senses. So I'm guessing that Mars in Taurus would be paired with sexuality, and Venus or Moon in Taurus would be paired with sensuality that is experienced in daily life. Check your Moon also because if the moon is afflicted then your experience of feeling through the 5 physical senses could be dampened.
