How do we use Astro.com exactly? Can someone explain, step by step, how to input the data for a 1. progressed chart. 2. Natal chart 3. Composite 4. Solar return I tried pulling my progressed chart, but the reference place kept saying my birthplace even when I chsnged of countless times to my current state of residence.
Also, for progressed charts, do we use our last birthday as the start date or the current date?

It sounds right. Once you enter your birth info then you should be good to go. Just use the drop down menu. Your progressed chart doesn't need a new location. It's still based from your original birth place. It's like an updated birth chart. For example you could enter a date for your progressed as such... If you are born on September 5th and are 25 years old. You would enter September 30th instead. (one day added to your birthday for every year that you are old) It's still referenced from your birth place. The nice thing about using theirs is that you can use the date box in the middle to look at your progressed (and other things) for whatever date you want. There are location charts which would be more along the lines of what you're talking about but I'm actually not that familiar with them. I still live within 40 miles of my birth place so I've never bothered. Anyway, for those charts, once you have entered your birth info then it calculates the rest. Just select the chart and that's it! IP: Logged |

I will second that.

Progressed is calculated from your birth date. On the site, if you have your birth information entered, that's it, you're good to go. If you select "Progressed Chart" it's all set. That's your Progressed Chart. I don't mean to confuse you though. I mean, if you want simple, the above is where it's at. Just use the drop downs. That's what I do. HOW it's calculated almost always is like this: Ok, so if you're 25 years old, born on Sept. 5th, 1989. You would add one day to your birth date for each year you are old. So your progressed birth date would be Sept. 30, 1989. But, really, all you need is your birth information in Astro.com. Then it's all automatically calculated for whatever chart you want to look at. I just showed you the above in case you were interested in how that progressed calculation works. The date that is on the OPTIONS part of the screen is used to select the date for transits, or your progressed chart. It's used for other things if you look at Harmonic charts and stuff but don't worry about that. So if you wanted to look for transits either in the past or future, or your progressed chart as it looked years ago, or will look years into the future, you can use that date selection. Once your birth info is in though, that's all you need. I hope that makes sense. I can confuse people sometimes. lol IP: Logged |

It's bevong clear and thank you for your patience.Okay, so I don't need to add anything else as far as dates are concerned since my birthdate is already in the database? So that date selection section isn't needed AT ALL for a progressed chart? IP: Logged |

No problem. Yep, that date selection can be used if you want to see your progressed chart for any date. By default I think it goes to the current date. But your progressed chart will show what your progression is for the date entered. I made a very silly math error above but I fixed it.
