What happens when your 7th house ruler is unaspected?

Mine is Venus, which is also located in the 7th house (nothing else in there).

I keep reading that your 7th house should not be afflicted and have nice aspects so, is not having any aspects at all a good thing or a bad thing?

it might be best to post your chart? having absolutely no aspects to a planet isn't common, there is usually something there, even if it's a minor pull from an outer planet. and having a planet with no aspects really isn't a major issue because you can still look at house cusps to read the chart and what might happen. i wouldn't consider a venus in 7th challenging anyway, even if it has no aspects. the 7th house was made for venus and even w/out strong aspects it'd likely not be an issue

HOW TO GET YOUR CHART
1. Go to www.astro.com . You can create a free account or enter your birth data as a guest; however, creating an account will allow you to save your information – great for trying the different charts both for yourself and for others in your life. If you don’t know the exact time of your birth, do your best to find out – it *is* important.
2. Go to “Free Horoscopes” and then to “Extended Chart Selection.”
3. “Natal Chart Wheel” is the default, but you will need to go to “House System” (under “Options” use the drop-down to change to “equal”).
4. Click on “Click here to show the Chart,” then click on the chart which will appear.
5. Right-click and save the chart to your desktop.
HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR CHART
1. Create a free account at www.photobucket.com .
2. Select “Upload Now” which will bring up “Select Photos and Videos.”
3. Navigate to your desktop and select.
4. On right, click “Save and continue to my album.”
5. When you hover the mouse pointer over the chart, you will see that a box appears with a few options. If you need to edit out your name or anything else you don’t feel comfortable sharing on the boards, “edit” is in the top band of options. Select “edit” which opens your chart and provides editing options. Go to the tab “Decorate,” and you will see a number of icons, one of which is an eraser. Erase what you need to, and click “Replace original.”
6. Saving should take you to a new screen where you can see your chart and to the right, a bank of options to “Share this photo.” Click on the IMG code, which will flash and let you know that you’ve copied the link.
7. Go to your thread, open a new post and paste your link.
8. Don’t move or delete your chart from Photobucket, because the link only goes to where the chart was saved!

I forgot to mention that Venus is also the apex planet of the YOD configuration that i have.
There it is:

(The square to Moon is too wide to count. The same goes for the aspect to Saturn)

Hi moon girl - you do have aspects to your Venus though

Opposite Saturn (you mentioned this is wide) and there is also a nice yod that your Venus is apart of and it sextiles your NN

agree. there is nothing wrong with your venus placement. it sits in hard aspect to saturn and uranus, so it's not unaspected. perhaps the affliction you are worried about is the venus opposite saturn? because saturn opposes venus in the 7th you might take relationships very seriously. your DSC is also taurus, the ruler of venus.

Ok. It's just that i read that YODS are problematic. The finger shows the planet where problems are going to arise, related to it.

Also, i have read in many articles that when a planet doesn't make any ptolemaic aspects less than 5 degrees it is 'calling', it is unaspected.

That's why i don't think the Saturn and Moon aspects are important. Same with the NN. It is a point, not a planet.

I found this and was curious because the only thing Jupiter does in my chart is square my MC. Other thoughts on an inspected 7th house ruler?

I forgot to mention that Venus is also the apex planet of the YOD configuration that i have.

So that's Venus quincunx both Neptune and Pluto.

In addition:
- Venus at 20N45 declination is contra-parallel Saturn at 21S14. This is a major angular aspect.
- Venus makes a semi-square to Jupiter.
So Venus is not "unaspected" in your birth chart. It is quite well aspected.

The definition of "unaspected" as requiring a 'major' aspect makes assumptions:
(a) Venus 'should' make a major aspect (not counting quincunxes) in order to have an outlet for its energies;
(b) These aspects must be in longitude only (20th century popularized astrology overlooked declinations as if there was no north-south movement of the planets);

So your question is a non sequitur.

But to answer your question, the interpretations of Venus opposite Saturn apply to your chart because of the contra-parallel aspect. You don't have any obstacles in relationships that you cannot overcome.

Look at the fact that Venus, ruler of your 7th is in the 7th house. That's a form of accidental dignity. Go with it.
