Whoa! Time to get to the basics. Your local library or bookstore (or even google) will help you out there.

I have Sat in the 7th, but your post seems to have nothing to do with that.

Study some basics on your own then come back with the questions.

I studied astrology through books for almost ten years before I even went online to know more. Back then not many people had personal computers or cell phones with web accesss like we do now. Point is, learn the basics instead of relying on others to give you readings. You'll be better off for it.

Just stopping in while I take a break from my writing and I'll need to get to bed soon, so no time for a lengthy answer. I just wanted everyone to understand that Going Dutch doesn't speak English very well so please show her some patience. She's not lazy, drunk, or anything else, she just has to struggle with proper English (ETA: actually, on second viewing it's not that bad...still, it's good to keep in mind).

Since I don't have much time I'm just going to leave a 3 links. One gives an intro to the houses:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_%28astrology%29

Another defining the Seventh House:
http://www.astrology.com/seventh-house/2-d-d-67375

Finally, Saturn in the Houses with the one for Saturn quoted:
http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/saturninhouses.html

quote:
The seventh house rules partnerships and marriages. That is, the seventh house reveals the way you relate to your closest friend/partner or enemy. This house opposes the first. The first house signifies the way you project your energies towards others, while the seventh house signifies the energies you project onto others, and the energies you are looking for in a close relationship. You can think of it as that part of your own energies you want resonated or boomeranged from your partner. The seventh, Libra, and Venus are all related. Venus rules relationships involving warmth and love. The seventh house is not naturally connected to love. Successful marriages are a combination of seventh house (partnership) and fifth house self-expression (love).

Saturn in the seventh house may mean a number of things. If we follow the energy resonance line of thinking then you are probably drawn to saturnine people. You may very well have fewer relationships. While in a relationship you may feel weighed down by a sense of responsibility which may turn you off relationships. Or, you may find it difficult to build bridges with someone else. That may in turn keep you away from relationships.

Don't let this happen to you. Be aware of your predilection. Know that you might be the kind of person who takes relationships more seriously than most. Be aware that your sense of responsibility makes you a very good partner. Your partner benefits from your attitude. Advertise yourself as someone who might not get into relationships easily but when you do, they last forever.

That said, the library should have at least one good book that explains this in greater detail.

Hey. I'm tired and about to go to bed but I thought I'd try to explain it.

First, there are generic houses, that is when it's not someone's chart then it starts with Aries because that's the default setting before birth time is considered.

But when someone is born then that changes it for that person and the ASC (Ascendant) is determined by when the person is born and thus the houses after. The ASC (sometimes called "the rising sign") is the sign rising on the eastern horizon when one is born and is considered to be that which "awakens consciousness" for that individual and so the order of the houses is determined for that person which is why knowing when someone was born is so important in understanding their chart. The Houses affect how the energy of the heavenly bodies manifest as well and you determine the houses for an individual person starting with the sign on the eastern horizon that the specific person was born under (which usually isn't the same as the sun though it can be).

Leo was rising on the horizon when I was born so I have a Leo ASC (or "Leo Rising"), but my sun was in Libra which means I have Libra in the 3rd House (because Leo is 1H, or First House, and Virgo comes after Leo, and then Libra after Virgo). That means my Fourth House is Scorpio and Fifth House is Sagittarius in my case, and thus I have a Fourth House Scorpio Jupiter and Fifth House Sag stellium.

BUT had I instead been born a little later then Virgo would've been rising in the east instead so that Virgo would be my ASC and my Libra would instead be in the Second House, and that would change my chart (and the person I was) as a result.

Anyway, hope that simple explanation helps you figure it out. I'll try to remember to visit this thread again tomorrow (but lots going on tomorrow so it may be November before I have time to visit this thread).

No. Not everyone has Saturn in the 7th house....

But yes, you need to go back to the basics and start there. There are lots of lessons on Google but you need to learn systematically. You can't be jumping all around topics or you will never get it.

Start by learning the signs, then the planets, then the houses....

Here is one to start with: http://www.moonvalleyastrologer.com/tutorial/

There was another very good site to learn on that I can't seem to find right now. I'll get back to you when I find it.
